Todd Cooke’ s make or break off season

With the off season in full swing we caught up with former Houston bulls centre Todd Cooke to see how his off season is going and to get his thoughts on this upcoming season.

hi Todd thanks for joining us today ! 
No problem thanks for having me back it’s been awhile !

 

Todd , last season was your coming out party in the VHLM . What did you learn in your breakout season?

the work never stops , you have to push yourself to constantly grow and get better everyday. The VHLM taught me a lot about being a pro and I’ll take that with me throughout my career and definitely into Oslo next year !

 

Hows your offseason going so far ?

Excellent so far taking part in the WJC and the ProAm tournaments . Training everyday just trying to consistently grow and get better. Can’t wait to see what the VHLE season brings this year ! 
 

you mentioned your taking part in the WJC what are your thoughts on your team ?

@TMGSosaJakky has put together a very good team . I think there’s a lot of people overlooking us but I think we can prove ALOT of doubters wrong and do some damage . Also my old buddy Weaver is on the team too so I’m really looking forward to playing with him !

 

you and weaver had a good season together in Houston can you speak to the success you guys shared as a duo ?

first of Weaver is a class act and a natural born leader He was our Capitan in Houston . He set the tone every single day and led by example he’s always the hardest worker on and off the ice ! It was a pleasure playing with him last season I’m excited to share the ice with him again.

 

recently the red pandas picked you up in the ProAm tournament draft are you excited to get started ?

Of Course ! I’m excited to get work and meet all the boys and see what we can do in the ProAm this year . I’ve never played in this tournament so I’m excited forsure !  This will be a very fun first time experience and I’m looking forward to every bit of it.

 

you were recently named on of Oslo’s top prospects that’s a pretty big honour !

ya it forsure is , I’m looking forward to coming in and trying to contribute right away and make an impact . Proving that I belong in the VHLE matters to me and that’s exactly what I’m going to try and do !!

 

do you believe that making the VHL is an achievable goal this season ?
It all depends on how the season in Oslo goes at the start . But I think I could end up there definitely next season S86!

 

This off-season will be huge for Cooke ! After the two tournaments he’s taking place in his focus will turn to making Oslo and ultimately the VHL . One thing that’s certain Cooke Is a promising up and coming player looking to prove himself
