1. Vancouver Wolves - Henry Eagles - A+

He was obviously the consensus first overall pick the moment the Wolves won the lottery. I don't know what the VSN scouts were smoking thinking they would select John Jameson over him.

He's one of the top forward in this draft class, he is known to being a loyal player thus he'll be a Wolves until he retires and he could already play first line for them.

An elite two-way player in the making and the safest best in this draft class.

2. Prague Phantoms - John Jameson - C

Possibly the worst pick out of the top 5. He would be the second lowest earner out of this top 5, but got drafted second overall (The worst if Matt Murdock was picked in the top 5)

Prague don't have any quality forwards beside there best player being a Center, but they chose to draft another center who supposedly won't play on the same line.

And if they do, then why they didn't select the best possible winger instead? That's a lot of wasted TPE in FO for him. The best teams has there best players playing together, not separately.

I didn't even mention that he will most likely leave this team for the Vancouver Wolves whenever he has the chance!

His grade would of been easily be a B+ if he was selected outside of the top 5.

3. Calgary Wranglers - Phil Strasto-something - A-

They needed a 4th d-men for the upcoming season and then they selected the best d-men in this draft.

Maybe Phil won't become an impactful player on offence until his 3rd or 4th season because of all the talent in front of him, but as a team need. He is perfect for them until he grows into a star.

He is a loyal player as well so the management won't be scared of him being upset about his production for the first few seasons at least.

4. New York Americans - Daniel Weaver - B-

Selecting the leading earner at 4th is good for them, but the build Daniel Weaver has is a double edged sword. He might become a top goal scorer in a couple of season, or a big offensive bust who can't defend for shit.

Not only that, but the New York curse is real.

They have a talent to select rookie of the years each time they have a lottery pick, but they ALL end up leaving that team after a couple of seasons. Will Weaver share the same fate as them or can he defy this curse?

5. London United - Astro Singh - D+

This pick is very intriguing. It's a player that we have no idea how he will produce in the VHL. He's most likely the only one out of this top 5 that will be playing in the VHLE which shows a huge gap in talent between him and the 4 others.

London selected Jesse Teno later in the draft as well. To be quite honest, they should of picked Matt Murdock if that was the case. He's easily a future top goalie in the VHL and they will regret not picking him. It will be funny to see London can't get past Matt Murdock in the playoff.

They also barely have any d-men talents at the moment so drafting Tater Tottingham would of been a B+ move for them. I wonder if the GM actually cared about this draft? Maybe he's betting on this stacked free agency?
