Los Angeles, California - The VHL off-season is a peaceful time for most players. A time to recharge or relax before another grueling season takes place. Some even go on vacations. Scoish Velociraptor Maloish decided to stay in his new rental home to get accustomed to the area. He even started a new hobby during the off-season. He would strike up bowling. He's been practicing every day it seemed. He wanted a challenge. When he looked online for anything bowling-related competitions in the area, he found a local tournament tour. He decided to give it a shot and enter the tournament. Even though he was a hockey player on the LA Stars, he wasn't noticed by anyone. It was a new experience for Maloish. At the end of the qualifying round, he was in 5th, leading him into the playoffs. In the playoffs, he was going up against some of the best and managed to squeak it out and get to the finals in the 4th position. In the finals, he was nervous that he wouldn't keep up with the rest of the group. Not only did he keep up, but he won the whole tournament by 2 pins! "It was a surreal experience today. I'm super excited about my performance. This was a great turnout and I'm glad to be a part of it. I'm going to come back whenever I have a chance to." Maloish won $5,000 for his first place finish in the tournament.
