Rumors are coming out of the Las Vegas organization that the Juan Ceson Practice Facility that there's a potential deal coming that would re-name the Juan Ceson Practice Facility to the Shindigs Community Ice Center, in honor of potentially retiring GM @Shindigs. Currently, it is unsure how much this change would cost the organization, or who supports re-naming the facility outside of the team. We were able to catch up with Juan Ceson, a Defenseman from the Aces, and current owner of the Practice Facility. CR: Juan, what do you think about this potential deal? JC: I don't agree with it. I think the organization is making a bad decision. I am fully behind renaming the facility, but it should be renamed to Captain Juan Ceson Practice Facility. End of discussion. Obviously, Ceson was not to happy to react to the question I asked, but we were able to catch Reid Johnson walking out of the building. CR: Reid, do you have anything to say about the rumored deal to rename the Practice Facility? RJ: I have no comments. It's currently a rumor, I will not get into detail what the organization has plans for the facility until we decide it's the right time to inform the public. We asked the public what they thought of this. Reactions were mixed. "I believe that it should be kept. Juan Ceson has been our captain for the past two seasons and the Aces have won championships both years. With speculation of him retiring, I think it should be kept the Juan Ceson Practice Facility." "It needs to be changed. I think bringing in a company would be a good idea, one that's local to Vegas or has headquarters here. It builds the brand and can bring in revenue for the team." We are still waiting to hear from GM Shindigs regarding this rumor, but we believe he will have the same comment as Reid. We will update this story as it develops. For Fox 39 Sports, I'm Chris Rock.
