Girts Galvins and the Defending Champion Warsaw Predators are 1st in the European Conference through 21 games and are looking very capable of going back to back. With a record of 14-5-2 they are ahead of everyone else in the conference and are looking once again like the team to beat. Their record on the road stands out at 7-1-2 showing they can go into any building in the league and come away with a win, which is obviously important when playoffs come around again. GM Dakota Lamb had this to say about Warsaw's start to the season coming off their championship.. "Look we finished last season as the best team in the league and we started this season as the best team in the league, whatever way you want to look at it, we're the best and we will be the best until someone beats us in the playoffs, which right now looks like it's going to be very tough for anyone to do. We haven't missed a beat since our cup run and I love the way the team is playing right now, especially that Latvian beauty Girts Galvins." Great quote from Champion GM Dakota Lamb as it's evident he's very confident in his group this season. No question Warsaw has been impressive through 21 games and will look to continue their strong play for the remainder of the season. No word yet on if they'll let Moscow pass them again like they did last season just to toy with their emotions and shatter their dreams in the playoffs, but we wouldn't count it out.
