badcolethetitan 938
Mexico City Kings and Siyan Yasilievich, Captain of Davos Mexico City Kings Mexico City this season has been underwhelming to say the least. Many fans after a great last season hoped that this could be the season where the Kings would finally be able to break through and win a championship, but currently, the Kings are sitting at 9th place in the league, right outside of a playoff spot. This has been a difficult season so far for Mexico City, who have a 12-15-6 record after 33 games, starting to get close to the halfway mark of the season. Despite the team struggling to find their footing, many players believe that this team still has time to turn it around and potentially be an underdog team in the playoffs. We spoke to the General Manager, Cole about the season so far, to which he said, "This season isn't over yet. We have started off very slow, but this is just the beginning. The fans haven't given up on us, the players haven't given up either and I truly believe we are going to be a scary team come playoff time. Playoffs are in our eyes, and I will put this team in a place to succeed. We have the right people, we have people who want to be apart of this organization, and I'm looking forward to the next couple of weeks." We'll have to see how Mexico City does in their upcoming games, where they'll be playing a lot of teams that are near them in the standings and picking up two points against them each game is very crucial. Siyan Yasilievich, Captain of Davos Siyan Yasilievich this season was named the captain of the HC Davos Dynamo in just his second season in the VHL. This is a risky move made by the Davos Management, as Siyan has just joined the team, but it has given him a confidence boost as Siyan has confidence issues, a weakness in his game pointed out by many scouts in the past. Siyan this season also has been struggling, having 7G 19A 26P and a -11 in 35 GP, where he is currently on pace to only do slightly better then last season's rookie statline. Many people believe that Siyan is nearing his peak, and that he cannot get much better, and with the stress of being a Captain and a lot of weight on his shoulders, it has affected his game without a doubt. We asked Siyan his thoughts on his season so far, to which he said, "I carry a lot of weight on my shoulders. If this team succeeds, it's because of me at the helm, and if we faulter, it's all on me. Every single game I will put my team first, and I will sacrifice anything and everything so that our team can succeed. I don't care about no fancy stat lines, I don't care about being the best defenseman in the league, I want to win and I want my teammates to be able to experience winning. I truly believe with this group, we can go far, and we're just at the tip of the iceberg." Siyan Yasilievich has half a season to turn around this team, as Davos currently is 16-16-3, sitting out of a playoff spot.
