A Lynx fan perspective (free article)

.....Somewhere in the upper end of Ottawa, it's 8AM and the birds are chirping.....

 

     Hilliary Stanton is a huge Ottawa Lynx fan and doesn't miss a match EVER. In the morning time Hiliary yawns and stretches out as she gets ready for a big day *rinnnng rinnng rinnnng* Whose that calling so early she thought? "Hey what's up babe! Too excited so I'm heading over now." Oh of course it's her friend Jasmin on the other end!!

Stanton ends the call and leaves her suburban household, makeup (check), cute dress (check) and Lynx styrofoam finger.. (Check!), it wasn't long before she hopped in the bus and headed downtown. The girls meet up at the clothing store and both of them start to discuss their plans for the day, with both of them obviously super excited they devour a few hotdogs at Jimmy's, binge highlight videos in an electronics store and share chuckles with each other talking about the past, after almost winding themselves the pair quickly cleanup the crumbs from their oatmeal cookies and prepare to calm themselves for the big crowds, long line ups and their heart rate increasing whenever seeing their crushes on the ice. 

 

.....Friday afternoon, downtown Ottawa and the traffic is heavy.....

 

During the first couple of periods they both calm down and start dancing along to the popular songs, take a million selfies and share plenty of smiles with fans alike closeby, during the game though the team was down and the excitement turned into calmness again as the arena entered the final period of the hockey game. Hilliary yells out "LETS GO LYNX!" and quickly Jazmin joins in behind the vocals saying "LETS GO!" .....What's that?! It's gymrat George from the clothing store chanting along?! As the volume starts to turn up and fans all over the section gets involved the game gets heated, a few players fight but the noise doesn't stop! George gets closer to the girls and offically introduces himself, since everybody was around liked each other he made a deal to swap spots so he could sit next to the girls, only costing him a vegetarian taco. The trio start shouting louder with more team spirit than ever and Ottawa gets the goal! On the ice it's John Richards who points straight towards the girls and gives a thumbs up, both of them blush and giggle it off hoping George didn't notice. After the lights go out and the blanket gets wrapped around Hillary's body all snug she thought to herself how awesome of a day she had until eventually passing out.
