Kimmy Jimmel: "Tonight on The Gimmie with Kimmy here at 103.5 and 103.9 The Ledge we have special guest, Aimkin, the Assistant General Manager of the San Diego Marlins." (sound effects) "Welcome, Aimkin! I'm really glad you're here and thank you for your time. What should we talk about?" (laughing) "Do you know any good jokes?"

Aimkin: "I'm happy to talk about whatever you would like to know. I would like to shoutout my S85 Marlins who made it to the VHLE. Very proud of all of you. As for a joke: what do you call a guy with no legs and an eyepatch? ...Names!" (rim shot)

Kimmy Jimmel: (laughing) "Names.. nice one." (laughing together) "So, Aimkin, how long have you been involved with the VHL?"

Aimkin: "This will be my 3rd season within the VHL factory. I joined back in June which is amazing to think of all that I've done when next week will be only 5 months."

Kimmy Jimmel: "Yeah, certainly an impressive resume for such a short time frame. You obviously enjoy your work and we're all looking forward to your bright future within the VHL factory. Alright, listeners, we're going to take a quick commercial break and we'll be right back with this weeks guest, Aimkin. Our sponsor this week is Riley's Really Expensive Tape!" (commercial break)

Kimmy Jimmel: "We're back and you're listening to The Gimmie with Kimmy here on 103.5 and 103.9 The Ledge on XM Radio! Tonight we're chatting with the AGM of the SD Marlins, Aimkin. Let's get right back into it! How long have you been the AGM for the SD Marlins? Did you have any prior experience?"

Aimkin: "I have been the AGM of the Marlins for one season and it looks like Jacob has decided to keep me around for the time being. I guess that means I didn't do too bad of a job." (laughing) "I had no prior experience to becoming the Marlins AGM but a lot of long time members and GMs encouraged me to apply for the job. I was honestly amazed that I got it! Especially with how technically new I still am."

Kimmy Jimmel: "Wow, so you saw an opportunity and with a little bit of support from the community you're a success. That's very admirable and it also speaks volumes about the VHL community. It's a warm place where growth and development are encouraged."

Aimkin: "Yes, absolutely. I'm thankful that they encouraged me to apply. I still have a lot to learn but look at me now!"

Kimmy Jimmel: "You had plenty of support and encouragement from the community along the way but were there any major obstacles getting this far? How did you overcome them?"

Aimkin: "My one major obstacle, which I have talked about before, was my social anxiety. Coming into an online community, especially one so well established, is always a shot in the dark when you don't know anyone. And especially as someone with the female experience of the internet, it was a total crap shoot as to whether or not I would be accepted or welcome. Once I managed to establish a friendship with Shindigs it was a lot easier to feel like I was part of the community. People respected my pronouns, and the work I was putting into my player was being noticed in a way that I had not expected. Though I am still waiting for the first meeting of the Aimkin club started by Dil a few months ago."

Kimmy Jimmel: "Once again speaking to the warmth and hospitality of the VHL community. The Aimkin club, eh? If we ever have Dil on the show we'll certainly be looking for a follow up, you can count on that. It's certainly a tough world for women and that's why we need more brave females such as yourself to pave the path towards a better future. Looking over the past things have only gotten better for women and I hope to see that trend continue. Some people say that the future is a woman's world and I have to agree."

Kimmy Jimmel: "Aimkin, we've previously interviewed your boss the current GM for the SD Marlins. What's it like working alongside of Jacob?"

Aimkin: "Working with Jacob is like working alongside a brother that you get along with. He's been really helpful with my AGM role, as a player, and as a VHL member in general. He's given me a few responsibilities but doesn't seem to get frustrated when I fall behind due to real life getting in the way. He's really chill and makes the Marlins locker room feel like a place you can just hang out and have fun."

Kimmy Jimmel: "Those are some very kind words. It's nice having a little insight into how things work behind the scenes. I'm glad to hear that it's a friendly environment and that you're enjoying it. San Diego was absolutely stacked going into this seasons draft. How are you feeling now that the VHLM draft is complete?"

Aimkin: "I feel great! Jacob walked me through his strategy and I was all for it. I think it really worked out and we picked up some serious defensive pieces, a much needed goalie, and somehow managed to snag the top forward in the 3rd round. Jacob really did his homework in a way that I don't think I could have."

Kimmy Jimmel: "Absorb all the information you can because it sounds like you're in a great position. You were new to the VHL only five short months ago but you've made excellent progress. Do you have any advice for this seasons up-and-comers?"

Aimkin: "Have fun! Don't take the wins for granted and don't take the losses to heart. The VHLM is just the start and no matter how your stats end up, you can still do amazing things next season."

Kimmy Jimmel: "You heard her, folks! That's all for tonight. Thank you for tuning in to The Gimmie with Kimmy here on 103.5 and 103.9 The Ledge on XM Radio." (sound effects) "Tune in next time for some more interviews, insights and all things VHLM."
