Well it's too late to the party, but I swear I don't remember who scored it. Let's pretend the season hasn't started yet - it's gonna be Molly, they will lead the team in goals, they will score the first one to let everyone know. 2. What's a realistic number? I'll just make up a number - make it 17! No idea why, 3. We have a lot of strong, two-way players who can make anyone between pipes look good, I'd say 0.905-0.91 SV% and around 2.5 GAA, 4. Yes, definitely, we have elite offense and goaltender! We're just too strong not to make it. If we don't, Simon probably found the good stuff again. 5. My boy Torbjorn, he's massive! He'll just power through everybody and puts the puck through the net. 6. Now that's hard to predict, but he's already won the Cup as a GM, I believe he knows what's needed to make another push, 8.7/10! Our stars are out there doing their thing. Our depth has really been showing up as well. 2) It's been a bit of a cold start but we always find our groove. I'm not even worried about it. 3) Jesse Teno, duh. A shoutout to my fellow blueliners as well. 4) Yes! A handful of good games and Knieval is easily there. Let's go! 5) 3.11 is my guess. We're going to pick up the scoring pace soon but I don't want to be too generous. We'll see.. 6) Absolutely! Teno is just phenomenal in goal. We'll be doing everything we can to make that happen. I think thea team is underperforming a bit we should be higher on the standings but I need to get my line going 2. The team is built around strong defence so scoring less goals is to be expected as long as the differential is looking good! 3. We have the best goalie in the league and a very defence oriented system! 4. They should do, one of the best dmen on our roster so I wouldn't be at all surprised to see them surpass 200 career points. 5. I expect it to tick up ever so slightly maybe to around 2.75 but I think we will be a relatively low scoring team in general 6. YES OF COURSE NO QUESTION! I hoping they can pick up a run of wins soon. 2. Well, I'd say it's probably where players have their TPE applied but I also feel like the right answer is because Simon says so. 3. Teno! Teno! Teno! One of the few things right now where they are excelling this season. 4. Can confirm they did! Congrats! 5. I'm hoping between 3 and 4. I don't know why. I am bad at hockey stats and analyzing these things. 6. Hopefully! They're currently sitting at above 2 with the last week of games just not going well. Hoping they can get back into form soon. Sometime it makes things funny, sometimes it is painful. (I promise no literary requirements). But it's still fairly early in the season, we're still finsing our groove. 2. We had depth scoring issues early on. The guys really stepped up during the week tho, and it looks like it's the top guys struggling to score now. 3. It's mostly Jesse Teno's heroics, they've been probably the best goalie in the league once again. 4. They're a bit under half a point per game throughout their career, including the early years of development, yea, I think there's a good chance they do. 5. I think we can keep at around where it is, we've got Teno, defensively strong blue line and some forwards with elite two way game. I see no reason why it should go up. 6. I'm not a big goalie guy, I don't follow the stats too much, but it sounds like that would be a historic season. I have them as my Clegane prediction, but I wouldn't bet on sub-2 GAA too much. Discuss your opinion? 1. I think it would be okay to use chatGPT or something as a research tool to summarize something for you, which then you could use as a source of information to write your own tasks, but not presenting the AI text itself as a PT. 2. As long as it's not something that's claimed as graphics, I'm 100% okay with it - like a graphic thingy for an article or a media spot, or graphics for press conference, or for a player sig that's not claimed, or for web design etc. 3. Well, I've pretty much answered that. As long as the result itself isn't claimed, it's fair game to use anywhere in my opinion. 4. I've only seen one, not sure which member it was or what the punishment was, but I remember my reaction was hm, that's fair. 5. Not really, I've only done some stuff with image geerators just for the laughs to share in the LR, like I remember I did a pack of cartoon wolves playing hockey. Overall, I really like AI tools and use them quite a bit for personal use. 6. This feels too serious for a sim game haha. I definitely think there is potential for it, and I wouldn't mind with the condition that everything AI generated has to be labeled as such. In art, it's kinda fascinating to watch AI do art, but it should specifically be called "AI art" - or shorten it as airt? With journalism, I'd prefer it to human based journalism as long as it's just raw data and facts fed to the algorithm, which then simplifies it for a lay person, without any agendas. But I'm somewhat sure that wouldn't mostly be the case. Discuss your opinion? 1. I think to ask AI to write a whole article is lazy and wrong. But I think using it to pull sources or to manufacture a basis for an article is fine. 2. I think with AI and graphics, the person should be doing 90-99% of the work and then if there is something they want to do to the piece that either would require more skill/knowledge or a paid program, then I think you could ask AI to do one or two small tweaks or filters to finish it off. 3. Like I said above, I think minimal. Research and devils advocate for writing, and just a finishing touch on graphics. 4. I don't know the exact punishments handed out but I think if you're going to use AI to do all of your work, then yea, a TPE ban for however many weeks seems fair. 5. I played with ChatGPT once just to see what it could create regarding hockey and I found it hard to get what I would have actually needed if I had wanted to use AI to write for me. 6. I hope not. AI can only create based off of what it pulls from existing material. If AI were to start writing whole books, it would end up spitting out the same old stories that we've been reading. It would completely take away true creativity. Besides, AI isn't perfect and probably never will be. I hope artists and writers start to use that program to contaminate their works so that AI can't pull from them. I mean, I just built the team in my media spot and Teno is on it so you know it's gonna kick ass. 2. I think so. Jesse is still one of the top goalies despite not having a great season stats wise. 3. Vanellope von Schweetz. Mostly because it's a veteran member and I don't really have any other reason because I have not been following the M at all. 4. I think Center. If you're pulling guys from all different teams, you need a center for them to rally around as their main guy and I think they help pull the team together. 5. Sure! It's before my time but I feel like it would be a good extra thing to have. 6. Maybe not a decades team because I'm sure the attributes will be widely different from s1 to s100. But I do think some sort of tournament to celebrate would be good. VattghernCZ 1,032
1. Oh, that's before my first gen player's draft class. I've never been into history, so I can't really say, I don't know all the players. Was Daniel Janser in one of the classes? If he was, definitely his class! 2. Oh, that's tough. The Frenchman and Daryl Dixon are the clear-cut forwards no. 1 and no. 2. The last spot would come to Bogatyrev or Kerr. Kerr has been ever so slightly more productive than Bogatyrev, but Bog has played one more season in the VHL. I'd say it's a coin toss. 3. Jean-Pierre Devote, he's been so good as a two-way player. I believe he will be a top 3 scorer in the league in the end. 4. You have to go with a forward first in my opinion, a fantastic two-way scorer to be your MVP. 5. Yes, I think it could be fun! Let the members elect 4 captains, then let the captains draft their 3F 2D 1G teams, with some restriction, like 3 players from one team at most. 6. Why not, but personally the only thing I'd be interested in would be to see how hybrid era players would do against pre-hybrid era players. I'm doing this one! 1. S81, or S84, both are super stacked classes, though I'm leaning towards S81 because of Janser, just like Mr. Wann Kerr said. 2. Y E S, S93 all star team right now hasn't done much but Devote being one of the best VHLM players right now including first to 20, 30, and 40 goals this season says something. 3. Devote, Forum Content, and Nabokov are all super close right now so I'd say it could go to any of those three, I'm definitely biased towards Devote though. 4. Goalie probably, since in most all star games there is very little defense, so having an insane goalie helps quite a bit. 5. Hell yeah, even if it's just the selections, I liked the top prospects game, and I'm totally not influenced by Retoslav being the MVP or anything in S83... 6. That's an awesome idea to be honest, I feel like the amount of engagement possible from that is huge and it'd be really cool to see that. Scurvy 1,531
1. Up my OV and DC with my banked points. 2. The Frenchman seems to have that locked down 3. Art Vandalay Is my pick with LA. They are a tough team and I think will go on an impressive run to end the season. ' 4. LA. They have all the tools and I think the mere presence of Rip Wheeler @ScottyP will force a good Calgary team to falter in the remaining games. LOL 5. Going out on a limb here and gonna say Moscow will win the division. They are streaky and get hot. I think they have another run and pass up Malmo 6. Prague . Prague has some real studs on offense and a great goalie in Murdock. I think they make huge upsets in playoffs and win the cup against LA in 6 games. Every now and again I go a little rogue with these and come up with some theme. Sometime it makes things funny, sometimes it is painful. (I promise no literary requirements). So this week I thought I would pick the topic of AI use in point tasks. 1) What is your opinion on the use of AI in generating written point tasks (media Spots, articles)? 2) What is your opinion on the use of AI in generating graphic point tasks? 3) In your opinion is there a level of AI use that is acceptable? 4) The punishments that have been handed out so far to people caught using AI, were they fair, too soft, too harsh? 5) Have you ever used AI tools, (Inside of VHL or outside), tell us about your experience with the tools? 6) Do you think AI will evolve to the point that people will no longer be involved in areas like book writing, journalism, creating paintings. Discuss your opinion? Crashing your PC 1. I really think that writing an original post is really not that hard and using AI is a waste of time. The PT are not complicated (graphics excluded). 2. So I will admit I am clueless to graphics in general. Tried making one on Pixlr and it was so shitty I quit and never went back. Not familiar with AI and graphics but I am sure it can be cheated easily. 3. Tough question. In real life when composing a letter or something you want to word smith well, possibly. I usually knock out my media spot and VHL article on Saturdays and it takes me maybe 30 minutes. here in VHL I don't think using it is necessary or relevant. 4. I am not familiar with punishments but I am sure they were fair. 5. No, I have never had the need to. My wife (a doctor) uses it for charting notes between patients and says its helpful there but I have no need for it yet. 6. It scares me a bit. I am a huge reader and think that AI could really cost writers their employment in the future. Technology comes with a price like we've seen with social media to the point now phones control most peoples lives. AI could contribute to that in negative ways. I love how they tied right into Episode 4 so you could watch them back to back and it would be amazing. 2. I do! If done right they either allow for an additional experience or a fun teaser. 3. Yes! And while I will be sad to see Teno go after next season, I'm equally as excited to create my new player. 4. The wife and I are considering installing one in our bathroom at home. 5. Bounce off the walls after a win or pray to Simon after a loss. 6. Fly back home and dive right into their foundation. VattghernCZ 1,032
1. I'm really, really, really not a movie guy. I watch The Lord of the Rings extended trilogy every December 25th, and that's the only movies I watch just because I want to. But probably Silent Hill, because I'm not a fan of happy endings. 2. Refer to answer 1, I don't even wait for them to be honest. 3. Definitely, I like the community here, and the game Is fun. Hopefully I'll be able to find more time to even participate in GMing on top of having my player, the limited experience I've had was fun. 4. I've only ever saw them in expensive-ish hotels and never used it, so my idea about them is that it's a fancy thing rich people install in their bathrooms. 5. Not very pro athlete like, but he cracks open a cold one after game to enjoy while the rest of the team is showering, and he takes a shower after them. 6. He's putting some money in youth hockey development in Czechia, He flies there to meet some young hockey fellas and attends a few practices with them, before flying home to Vancouver.
