1) He’s a killer! Nice work dude! 2) hard to say, been focused on adjusting to my new villa in Prague. 3) high proof Bourbon…on the rocks. He’s a classic, little rough around the edges but always gets the job done. 4) got rid of dead weight during the off-season..lol, or at the least upgraded from Rips lack of physicality. 5) family time, good food, whiskey. 6) battleship, I sucked at it…and I was initially disappointed that there wasn’t actually bombs sinking the opponents ships.

1) Ol Ripper is ready to go! Lots of hard work out in during the off-season. Rip is gonna be back this season with vengeance! 2) Lots of hand drills, keeping those mitts silky! Also some old school weight training, getting ready to add a new level of physicality to the room! 3) It’s been quite an adjustment coming from the plains of Alberta…but Rip is loving it! The Prague night life, the food, and European fans are all in on the new kid on the block. 4) Excited to be a part of the Phamily! Pumped to share the ice with the boys and start stacking dubyas! 5) Heading to Idaho to visit my girlfriend’s family! Lots of good food and family time. 6) Slapshot! Time to put on the foil boys!

1) Don’t know much about the team yet, but excited to get to know the boys and get after it this season! 2) I’ve heard nothing but good things about our new GM excited to get going! 3) Excited to share the rink with such solid vets! 1) Stay consistent with earning TPE and if you have questions on how to make your build better, ask some of the legends in the locker room. 2) I haven’t followed who’s available close enough, but trust our GM to make the best moves to get us to the next level. 3) it’s hard to say, I felt we were set going into the playoffs, sometimes that just how it does. 4) No, unfortunately my real life gets in the way of being more in tune with happenings around the league. 5) I’d say penguins are pretty sad…wasting another year of Crosbys career is pretty shitty. 6) Attending the 2024 Winter classic in Seattle!

1) Solid two way team with amazing goaltending. Winning close games with solid D and a championship caliber goaltending tandem. 2) Yes, it will likely come down to goaltending and I’ve got all the faith in the world in our guys. 3) Wranglers and gonna be Wrangling! 4) I think Malmo is the favorite, but it’s the playoffs…anything can happen! 5) continue with a point per game average and contribute to the team however I can. 6) Dilson, absolute stud between the pipes.

1) Malmo, they got a squad for sure! 2) actually be productive and helping the team get some subs! 3) Ironhide, just been crushing it this season! 4) Curshing whiskey and coors…lotsa long days on the Dutton ranch. 5) The Undertaker…WWF…he was unstoppable…how can you kill someone who is already dead?!? 6) World peace.

Theme Week! Hey now you’re an all star! Alright let’s fire it up, hit up the top shelf and pour yourself a double of your favorite bourbon and let’s get to it! Ok first things first, I definitely think there should be an all star game in the VHL. I think recognizing the players that crushing it half way through the season would be sweet! I also think that an end of season “all pro” team, voted on by the players would be a cool addition as well. This season there’s a few standouts so far in the VHL. First off, and yes this may be obvious, but Yaroslav Trunov is crushing it this season. 76 points through 50 games with a balance of goals and assists. It’s been nothing short of impressive. And with 404 shots, my man loves to slang the rubber. Second player that’s been crushing it, is AK92 Wit da Hoodie! Following up an awesome season 91 with an even better showing this season. With a league leading 35 goals in 49 games, he’s looking likely to eclipse the 50 goal mark. With a fair amount of assists and hits, AK is putting the rest of the league on notice and is a threat any time he touches the puck. Third is The Frenchman! An apple dishing machine with 52 assists in 59 games. He teammates must love getting served up on the daily with dimes that make it look easy. With only 6 PIMs the man from France plays smart hockey and keeps himself on the ice as much as possible. Last, but certainly not least…you favorite goalies favorite goalie! That’s right “Dilly Dilly!” The guy that keeps the Wrangler ranch on lockdown, Merome Dilson! He’s been an absolute stud this season posting 31 wins in 47 games played. With a sparkling 0.936 save percentage and a 2.2 goals against average, when Dilson is in the net, the Wranglers always have a chance to Riiiiiiide! Also, he’s leading the league in shutouts and penalty minutes! What. A. Beauty! Alright changing topics a bit, two closing thoughts. First best NHL all star sweater of all time? For me it’s 1993 The uniforms from the earlier all star games (1989-91) are back, with the numbers changing color…black numbers on the white jersey and white numbers on the black jersey. So crisp and just seeing those sweaters reminds of some of the greatest players ever, The Great One, Mario, Yzerman, Mike Gartner, The Russian Rocket, JR, Sakic, Brett Hull and Madano to name a few! That was hockey’s hay day and damn was it a fun era to watch as a kid. Ok, worst jerseys? Hands down this year. They were sooo horrible, too loud and looked like an elementary school kid came up with the design. Lastly, Nikita Kucherov….whether he was drunk, high or simply didn’t give two F*CK’s about the skill’s competition. It was an interesting scene. Where are you at with that? Let me know in the comments. Part of me thinks it’s a complete douchebag move and he’s an asshat. But part of me thinks he was just trolling the Toronto fans, with the history of Toronto and Tampa Bay playing each other on the playoffs the last few years. Does that make him a “good” villain? Rip is Calling out names! Another quick one for the boys (and girls) in the wrangler room. Rip is still a point per game guy, and he’s making a positive impact for the wrangler nation. I still want Rip to bring the wood and bring a physical presence to the club. I’ll keep adding some body check TPE, but I need my player to be a dude that smashes and crushes for the boys in the room (and girls). I’m happy that Rip is bringing the points and solid plus/minus for the club. Love that and am happy that Rips found his way a bit and is contributing. Lastly, let’s talk about my soon to be arch nemesis…the 9 fingered man, the missing ginger himself…Logan Ninefingers….you can’t hide in Europe forever brotherrrrr!!! You’re a solid (more than) point per game guy….but your hits and pims are a bit light…once you make it to the show…Ol Rip will have some smoke for yah….and trust me young buck…you don’t want the smoke…keep your head up and your chin tucked…once you graduate to the big time, it’s no mercy on your 9 finger candy ass!
