And the Rookie is Off...

Jesse Teno made their long awaited VHL debut this week with the London United. With the role of backup to David Davis, Teno hopes to see enough action to build up a good lineup of stats during their rookie season. So far Jesse has played 4 games and sits with a 2-2-0 record, 0.923 save percentage, 2.46 goals against, and no shutouts.

While not the best start to their professional career, it’s also not the worst outing for a rookie coming into a well established league of incredible goalies. “Honestly, it’s just an honor to be playing alongside and against the guys that I’ve been watching these last few seasons as well as before I came into the league. I’m taking every win and loss as learning opportunities and appreciating any time London gives me on the ice. That first win was also amazing. It felt good to get that one under my belt and I’m hoping for a winning season.”

This is a great article.  You can connect with the young player getting their first foray into the league.  You can feel the angst, the passion and the anticipation of what has occurred and what is to come.  For a young goalie that is expected to play the entirety of the first season in the VHL as a backup has to be rough as they may only see 8-10 games out of 72.  To keep connected with the team and with the league, in order to keep producing TPE has to be a dedication.

Keep pushing Aimkin, you are doing well. Keep the TPE going and you will be the top goalie very soon.

I give this article a 9/10
