sadie 914
Sadie St-Louis Scouting Report Name - Sadie St-Louis Age - 20 Height - 5'10" Weight - 175 lb. VHLM Stats (SDM, OTT) - 85 GP, 44G, 61A, 105P (4th ovr) VHLE Stats (STO) - 72 GP, 47G, 48A, 95P (5th ovr) Hometown - Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Canada VHL Team - Riga Reign Sadie St-Louis had, by her standards, a much more successful VHLM career than she ever could have hoped for. Being claimed off of waivers by the San Diego Marlins in S84, she didn't know what to expect difficulty-wise from her opponents or talent-wise from herself. She had 20 points in just 13 games to close out that S84 season and unfortunately San Diego did not get into the playoffs, not having anticipated the influx of players they would claim off of waivers and consequently having traded many of their players for picks in the S86 draft. She was drafted 4th overall by the Ottawa Lynx in S85 and would play her first and only full season. She started the season off playing on a line with John Richards and Brayden Albrecht and started slow until she heated up about a quarter of the way through. Before half the season was over, Sadie started regularly playing defense due to the lack of defensemen on the roster, but still managed to score 85 points in the 72 games she played that season. It was a great season which set her up well for the VHLE and VHL drafts which followed that offseason. Pros: -Shots: Sadie is a player that will do whatever she can to get a good shot on goal in any scenario and that includes throwing it to the net for a rebound from anywhere on the ice. The sheer volume of shots she generates leads to a lot of goals and she drives the net and works hard to get in these situations. -Defense: She has a lot of skill with her stick defensively and poke checks and closes on attackers better than most forwards. She uses her ability to steal the puck to generate offense going the other way and the counterattack often leads to grade A opportunities, many of which result in goals. Cons: -Physicality: Sadie does try her best to get to loose pucks first, fight for them, and lay down hits to win them back, but her smaller frame and less focus on the strength facet of the sport leads to a lot of situations where she is outmatched by an opponent by sheer strength. She is liable to be bumped off the puck fairly easily if she cannot make it up with her speed and in front of the net she struggles to get position (but when she can she has good talent with deflecting pucks on net). -Consistency: Sadie St-Louis is an amazing player when she is on her game, but often when she isn't her best self at a game, it affects the game largely. Her goals and points tend to come in bursts, which means a lot of multi-point games and a lot of pointless games. The team seems to be affected by something in these off games whether it is the lack of shots, worse defense, or just not scoring in the big moments when it matters most. kirbithan and jacobcarson877 1 1 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/131223-prospect-scouting-report-sadie-st-louis/ Share on other sites
