Elman Diablo 38
VHLM San Diego Marlins: The Sweep (Credit to Leonard Triller’s Graphic) Just not long ago we saw the Series of San Diego and Mississauga. Which we saw didn’t go in Mississauga’s favor and instead went in San Diego’s favor. So, let’s get into what happened. What Happened? So to start, the Marlins being the best team in the league going into this game we’re facing the wildcard Hounds. In which it definitely showed it was no contest as the Marlins cleaned the Hound’s clocks and went 4-0 in the series. It was obviously no contest as it being the best team in the league against a team that barely made it in the wildcard. So now, let’s get into the action of how these games played out. Deep Dives into the games Game 1 So first things first Game 1 was a great start for the Hounds. Well not really as they got pounded 3-1. With Leonard Trillers 2 assists and Lions 15/16 saves it would help the Marlins secure Game 1. Game 2 Then, game 2 happened in which I would wish to say this game would be better. However it definitely wasn’t as they again got pounded 4-1 this time. With Justin Lion’s stellar performance with 12/13 saves and Triller’s helpful 2 assists, It would propel the Marlins to a 2-0 lead over the Hounds. Game 3 After that, it is game 3 and it isn’t any better. As they got taken down once more 4-2 again and were put on the brink of elimination. And with Adam Rage and Oreo McFleury’s 3 points, it would seal up game 3 with a Marlins victory. Game 4 Then finally, the most important of them all, it was game 4 and one that came down as yet again no contest. They would be put to sleep as they would get crushed 4-1 and with it, their playoff hope. Because of Lion’s outstanding 29/30 saves and David Jokinen’s 4 points, it would take the Hounds and send the Marlins to the 2nd round. Stats So, by the end of this series there were many goals and big plays that happened so I was going to name the top player in each of those categories. So in goals Adam Rage is first with 3 and same with Oreo McFleury in 2nd and Sjin with 2 in 3rd. In assists, David Jokinen is 1st with 6, Adam Rage in 2nd with 4, and Oreo McFleury in 3rd with 4. So, all together the person with the most points would be Adam Rage with 7 points in 4 games, crazy stats In closing this series was not even close to counting the Hounds as actual contenders to beat the Marlins, especially from what we have seen from the Hounds. However, they are facing the team with the best record in the entirety of the VHLM’s history. However, to lose by an average of 3 goals a game is not the best thing ever to see. So, could the Hounds do better to improve their rosters? If so leave a comment or a reply as I would love to read them. And once again, cheers fellas!
