qripll 503
PLAYER CARD Name: Yaroslav Trunov Age: 19 Nationality: Russia Hometown: Kursk, Russia Position: RW SCOUTING SNIPPETS: + Language barier: Despite Yaroslav was born in Russia he has no problems with communication in the locker room. As a guy who has been playing in different abroad leagues for 2 years his knowledge of language is pretty impressive. He can easily talk to teammates on and off the ice which means that he will be always a part of the team wherever and whenever he plays. Obviously, communication is crucial and Trunov makes advantage of it. + Shot: As a goalscoring winger Trunov impresses the world with his great wrist shot. That is not a lie that Ya has one of the best shot among his draft class and it shows how good he is. Trunov scored 45 goals in his last season and carried Wild in the playoffs. His contributuion is huge and he keep mastering new ways of improving laser wrist shot. It is also implied that Yaroslav has a tendency to shoot instead to pass. According to the VHL.COM Trynov had 405 shots in 72 games (5.6 shots per game) and it is 5th result among his peers in VHLM. + Mindset: Probably one of the most important thing to become franchise player. Ya has a great role model - his brother, Bogdan Trunov, who is a point per game forward, ex-captain of the Warsaw Predators and Victory Cup winner. Yaroslav is not afraid of losing, he is always the last guy on the ice who continue training after the practice. He knows he can be better and he does his best to make a VHL. - Defense: That is a common disadvantage for a young goalscoring forward who tends to play agressive in the offensive zone and waste too much energy which means he have almost no impact in the defensive zone. However it does not mean that Yaroslav doesn not help his team. If we focus on stats we will see +14, 138( almost 2 per game) hits and 31 blocked shots. Apperently, Trunov has to upgrade his poke checking and defensive coverage to be more useful and versatile player.- Adaptivity: It os very crucial for Yaroslav to feel that it is his cup of tea, so potentially GM's will face to that problem and it will take some time, soft skills and patience to create a required atmosphere arounf future star of the team Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/132351-psr-trunov-yaroslav/ Share on other sites
