Insypher 86
Interviewer: Good afternoon, Jason. Thanks for taking the time to speak with us today. Jason Argos: No problem, always happy to chat with the media. Interviewer: Let's start with your background. You were born and raised in Alaska, how did that influence your decision to become a hockey player? Jason Argos: Growing up in Alaska, hockey is just a way of life. Everyone plays, it's just part of the culture. I started playing at a very young age and fell in love with the game. I knew early on that I wanted to make a career out of it. Interviewer: You've been playing professionally for several seasons now, starting with the Mexico City Kings, then moving on to play for the Istanbul Red Wolves in the VHLE and now currently with the LA Stars in the VHL, How has your experience been playing in different leagues? Jason Argos: It's been a great experience, I've been fortunate to have the opportunity to play in different leagues and learn from different styles of play and coaches. The VHLE and VHLM are both top-level leagues and they have helped me to develop my game and adapt to different situations. The VHL is a different level of competition, it's more physical and faster, and I'm happy to be back here and playing for the Los Angeles Stars. Interviewer: You've had quite a successful career so far, with 95 points in 216 games prior to this season. How do you maintain your level of performance? Jason Argos: I think it's all about hard work and consistency. I always try to focus on the next game and not get too caught up in my past performances. I also make sure to take care of my body and stay in good shape. And of course, I have a great team behind me who helps me to stay motivated. Interviewer: You're off to a great start this season with 9 points in 8 games. What do you attribute that success to? Jason Argos: I think it's a combination of things. I've been playing with a great group of guys and we have a great system in place. Guys like Vinny Detroit and DBIII have really helped improve my game. Our coaches have been doing a great job of putting us in positions to succeed. I'm also feeling more comfortable with my role on the team. I'm playing with more confidence and that's translating to my performance on the ice. Interviewer: Finally, what are your goals for the rest of the season and beyond? Jason Argos: My main goal is to help the Los Angeles Stars win the championship. That's what we're all working towards as a team. Personally, I want to continue to improve as a player and be a consistent contributor to the team. And in the future I would love to represent my country in international competitions. Interviewer: Well, we wish you all the best for the rest of the season and beyond. Thanks for taking the time to speak with us today, Jason. Jason Argos: Thank you, it was my pleasure.
