The team in Warsaw is looking very different than last season. The team is scoring like crazy, although this might not sound different compared to last season, they didn’t score nearly this much. Instead, they were slightly more defensive minded, as they could keep a lot more pucks out of the net. The team is not playing as defensive as last season, and it hasn’t worked out very well, however the team is really starting to bring out the offense with recent huge wins.

Its hard to blame goaltending though with Wumbo having a save percentage of 0.916. This would be lower than previous seasons, but how much is a goaltender meant to stand on his head before the team realizes it is not his fault. The team is seemingly bad defensively, after acquiring Cheese and letting go one of the stay-at-home defensemen, it was clear the team wanted more offense. This can work, but you must not leave your goaltender out to dry in the process.

Though, the offense has been amazing, so much so that of the teams 9 players of offense and defense, there are only 4 players who do NOT have a point a game. With that being said, only 2 players with less than 20 points in the 30 games played. The big names that come up for scoring is Galvin Girts who was expected to continue his shredding of this league and showed with his 37 points in 30 games. Zach Kisslinger II who recently and unsurprisingly broke a couple of franchise records for total points and assists has 39 points on this season so far. A couple other players that are very notable is Biggie Cheese who is leading the league in defensive points with 43 in only 30 games, and of course Brendan Marner who has now taken over the first place in points and goals in the league as he is going off with 51 points and 24 goals in only 30 games. I think it is important to understand that these crazy point totals are also coming from a team that is down a game to most other teams.

Warsaw is looking weaker than last season, but they are still in a playoff position with the teams in Europe seemingly weaker than the teams in North America. Warsaw is 2nd in Europe but 5th in the league right now, so the team doesn’t seem crazy worried about the record so long as they are in the top in the European division. But with Warsaw being tied in 2nd with 4 other teams there must be some worry if there’s none, they do have a game at hand compared to some opponents, but the team must keep its most recent winning track.

The team in Warsaw is looking much different than the one they ran with last season, with a much different approach this season. The team is looking at another playoff run and so long as they keep winning, they can expect great things.
