Dabnad 177
Hello everyone, welcome back to the Dabnad Shaw writing where I write and you read what I write and say how terrible I did. This week, we're seeing rivalries around the league. Now everyone is talking about rivalries in the league, your player, and just rivalries in general, however, one thing I haven't seen much is the rivalry between you and your biggest competition: yourself. You are the biggest factor in your failure and the biggest factor in your success. You have to see that the rival with who you should be competing the most is this person, who is yourself Many people often don't pay attention to this rivalry, they see themselves in the mirror as a friend, not as a rival. People think that they're busy and don't have time to train or work but something they don’t realize is that this makes the mirror image of what they thought was a friend, a rival. You have to stop looking at yourself as your best friend and look at yourself as your biggest rival. Now, why would I think that Dabnad Shaw is Dabnad Shaw’s biggest rival? It's simple, he stops himself from getting better by not letting himself train as hard as he can (or in the case of the VHL not being able to complete PTs and press conferences whenever he can) and not playing to the best ability. Shaw’s best version of himself should be his worst version in the future, and non-existent in his prime. Every time Shaw improves, he gets a better rival, and every time, this rival is better than him. He can never be better but should always try to be better. The rival of Shaw is always in his prime version and gets better and worse as he gets better and worse. His biggest rival isn't his friend or a draft mate or anyone who he's played against, it's himself and his brain. Shaw plays a game with defense, his best statistic is shot blocking, this means that every game he doesn't block a shot, he's losing against his rival, and every game he doesn't win, his rival has won. So, something I hope that everyone has learned today is that every single person has a rival, and that is themself. This concept can be applied to everything, not just hockey. If you use this concept in your everyday life you can get the best results from yourself. Remember that you're going to be the best if you beat this rival, but to beat this rival, you must be the best. At the end of the day, you must find yourself in you and play the best hockey with your rival. Figuring out how to play against you is the best way to both, finding your weakness and making yourself improve constantly. Other than that, I have nothing else to say just remember to find the best version of yourself in every situation and until next time, this is Dabnad Shaw, signing off. 503 words Week ending Feb 19, 2023 Edited February 17, 2023 by Dabnad Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/133260-the-biggest-rival/ Share on other sites
