He has been in the VHLM for less than a season and is already on his third team, but for the first time since entering the top tier junior league, Nicolas Caprivi feels at home. The German-Canadian defenseman was drafted 3rd overall by the Bratislava Watchmen in this summer's VHLM Dispersal Draft and he has nothing but good things to say about his new team "I really like it here in Bratislava. We have an awesome group of people in the locker room that it is fun to be around, and we have a lot of chemistry on the ice as fell. The fans are incredibly passionate as well and since Bratislava is not that far away from Germany, I've had the chance to learn more about the land of my ancestors by visiting it a few times already."

Caprivi had entered the VHLM late last season, getting picked up on waivers by the Turku Outlaws before they traded him to the Ottawa Lynx shortly after. "I had a great time in Ottawa as well, especially since we were able to win the Challenge Cup. But things just feel different when you join a team late in a season compared to when you are on a squad from day one. So spending this whole season in Bratislava, experiencing the training camp and all the ups and downs of the regular season, is something I really enjoy."
