Scouting Report: Ross Glagau, Goaltender

 

Ross Glagau is a Canadian goaltender who played for the Mexico City Kings in the VHLM from S85-S87. Glagau is an impressive presence in the crease, standing at an imposing 6 feet 4 inches tall. Throughout the season, he has demonstrated his exceptional abilities, earning a save percentage of 0.906 and winning 48 of 69 games played. He was also able to put up an impressive .908 in 14 games on a struggling Team Asia.

 

Skating and Agility: Glagau's agility is one of his biggest strengths, allowing him to quickly and efficiently move across the crease to make saves. He has excellent lateral movement, making him a tough opponent for any forward.

 

Rebound Control: Glagau's rebound control is exceptional, allowing him to direct pucks to the corners of the ice and limit second-chance opportunities for the opposition.

 

Blocker Skills: While Glagau is a strong goaltender overall, he has noted that he sometimes struggles with his blocker side. Despite this, he has shown significant improvement in this area over the course of the season. His blocker technique is solid, and he uses it effectively to deflect shots away from the net.
