(TORONTO) As we just get past the quarter-mark of the season, Jimi Jax continues to make the most of his rookie season as he adjusts to the speed the VHL brings. The 6’0 center registered his first goal within the first few games but has yet to score ever since and currently sits on 10 points in 20 games which ties in for 6th in rookie scoring. Jax has always been known for his offense, so the lack of production is new to him. Despite having higher expectations for his output as a 2nd line center, he still isn’t too worried about it.

“I’m still working on keeping up with the pace of the VHL. It’s a lot different than the E as the talent gap is very significant.”

Jax his hoping for the offense to come as it gets closer to the halfway point of the season. He is starting to get comfortable with his new teammates and feels that his confidence grows every shift he gets. He feels that without the management of the Legion, he would be a lot farther behind in his development.

“They’ve welcomed me ever since I was drafted and have made it clear to me what the plan has been. I’ve been following the plan and the feedback has been great. I wouldn’t want to be spending my first few seasons with anyone else”.
