Back from the dead? - Bad Comic response

Recommended Posts

Last week I wrote how the Vancouver Wolves season has been playing out like a bad comic and I finished off asking the question if the players in Vancouver could pull the team back into a play-off spot?

Simple put the answer has been a resounding yes!! And why most might not consider Pierre Emile Bouchard for any awards this season; He has actually taken another step this season as he has added some much-needed scoring touch to his game this season when Vancouver required someone to step up and provide some more scoring. He is currently on pace for 24-26 goals on the season and somewhere around the 83pt mark. While this is considerably less than last season 88pts; no one should overlook the stark difference between last season and this season when it comes to the Vancouver Wolves.

Last season Vancouver was an offensive juggernaut lead by the likes of Nezuko (45G – 53A – 98pts) and Sergey Preobrazhensky (39G – 57A – 96pts), not to mention breakout season for Svatopluk Puk, Dogwood Maple and Henry Eagles. Vancouver has struggled to replace the numbers from Nezuko, Preobrazhensky and Puk absence. Which makes it more impressive that Bouchard has maintained his offensive pace and could by the end of the season lead the Vancouver Wolves in points and maybe; just maybe lead all defenders in the league in scoring.

In the end another strong season from Bouchard will be all for not should Vancouver not at least make the play-offs where anything can happen!!
