Jensen Dominating JST in Hopes of Second Straight Win

Viktor Jensen is playing for Team Steel in what is his second ever appearance in the Junior Showcase Tournament.  Last season saw him have quite a successful campaign playing as one of the Brigade's main offensive weapons on route to a tournament victory.  It was that performance that really set him up for a great season on the Houston Bulls.  With that being said, without question this JST has been Viktor Jensen's coming out party.  Through 16 games, Jensen has recorded 13 goals and 18 assists for 31 points over that span.  He has more goals and assists than anyone in the tournament and has seven points on the next challenger for the points lead.  It's pretty hard to argue with anyone having the impact he has had, as he helps lead the Steel to the best record in the tournament thus far.  When asked about his performance, one of the leading amateur scouts on a lottery team in the VHL had this to say:

"We've watched him a lot this season, but this has definitely been his most impressive run of it.  40 goals was a nice accomplishment in the VHLM and he showcased a pretty decent all-around game at that, but this is the offensive output I think we all expected when we looked at him as a potential first overall pick in the upcoming draft.  Time to see if we will see that become reality now."
