McGryer Moving On

Fradin McGryer has been reportedly meeting with multiple VHL GM's over the past few days. In fact, the disparity in the amount of VHL to VHLE GM's reaching out to this young defensemen should give fans and organizations alike the notion he likely won't be in the European development league for very long. Though the young player would not disclose who he met with and when, he did have this to say to a few local San Diego reporters. 

"It's an honor, you know, to be considered by anyone firstly. And it's true, i've met with a much more VHL organizations than VHLE organizations. But  it doesn't mean i'll make the jump as quickly as everyone thinks. I'll be testing the waters just as I did here in the M. The only thing I can really give you guys here without disclosing who i've spoken to is that i'm going to continue to play my game my way. I'm a big guy, I play rough, and that's going to continue no matter what sweater I wear. Especially in terms of the VHLE there are a lot of guys much more talented, more proven than myself. Which will lead to me falling probably further than most of you stats guys expect. You can't put a number on hard work, and many around me in this draft fit the definition of the very word." 

With both the VHL and VHLE draft coming soon, it will be interesting to see who has the Massachusetts native in their plans, and how quickly he signs on or off with it.
