The Bobs legacy, the sequel Ep.11 (Interview with Bobby Bob)

Welcome everyone,

 

The season in the VHL started two days ago and Bobby Bob played his first games of his career in the VHL. In this eleventh episode of « The Bobs legacy, the sequel », we are going to have an interview with the rookie of the Toronto Legion, Bobby Bob.

 

Reporter: Hey, we are happy that you accepted our invitation, we will start immediately. How did you feel when you played your first game in the VHL?

 

Bob: Well, no problem, it is my pleasure. Honestly, to answer your question, it was simply unreal. I mean, the Toronto Legion is one of the oldest franchises in the league, they have so much history and even if was a little bit difficult for the team in the last couple of seasons, the arena was still full the fans were very loud. During the national anthem I couldn’t stay still, and I was doing little jump. I was really excited. It felt very good.

 

Reporter: You were in the VHLM two seasons ago and in the VHLE last season, so you played in three different leagues in a very short time. Did you notice any differences in the level of each league?

 

Bob: There is a difference between the VHLM and the VHLE, but it is not enormous. I was good in the VHLM and when I joined the VHLE I was still pretty good. However, it is nothing compared to the VHL. I dominated both the M and the E in my first two seasons, but there are some really good players in the VHL, and I don’t think I will dominate this league this season. I believe that my place is in the VHL and after four games I am doing pretty well, but I still have a lot to learn.

 

Reporter: You currently have three assists in four games, but you didn’t score a goal, how do you feel about that?

 

Bob: My first job is not to score goals, but to stop the other team to score more goals than us. I also like to contribute offensively, but I know that my shots are not necessarily the best in the league, so I will continue to improve this aspect of my game and one game my first goal will come.

 

Reporter: And do you know to whom you will dedicate your first goal?

 

Bob: Without a doubt to my father. He has always been there for me in my life, and he always supported me in my hockey career. Today is also Fathers Day, so it would be perfect to score my first goal tonight. I could give the puck to my father, and I believe it is the best gift you can give to someone.

 

Reporter: To finish, what are your expectations for this season?

 

Bob: Like I said earlier, the Toronto Legion haven’t made the playoffs in a long time, so my first goal would be to bring back the Legion in the playoffs. I won’t lie to you and I will also say that winning the Christian Stolzschweiger Trophy would be really nice.
