@slothfacekilla Welcome everyone, It is finally time for the best moments of the season, the PLAYOFFS!! Yesterday was the start of the playoffs in the VHL, in the VHLM and in the NHL, so we are going to see a lot of hockey playoffs in the next couple of weeks. Once again, we had a really interesting regular season with a lot of surprises and we hope to see even more in the playoffs. Quarter-final #1 - Houston Bulls (1) vs Ottawa Lynx (8) Regular season series: HOU wins 7-0-0. I think it goes without saying that this series will be over in 4 games and nobody will really be surprised. Indeed, the Houston Bulls finished first in the standings with a record of 59 wins, 8 losses and 5 losses in overtime for a total of 123 points in 72 games. Led by Gingy @MexicanCow123 and Cardinal Copia @Beketov offensively and by Dog Jagr @koty_k and Feka Ohi Kau @Hacob defensively, the team is looking really good and will be really difficult to beat in the playoffs. In the net, Bartholomew Lorequavius @jaypc8237 will also be a really important player for the Houston Bulls in this playoff run. On the other side, if Ottawa wants to win a game, Owen two @do3bo1 and Kyle Evans @Kyle Evans will have to play on top of their head. VSN Prediction: Houston wins in 4 games. Quarter-final #2 - Philadelphia Reapers (2) vs Las Vegas Aces (7) Regular season series: PHI wins 6-1-1. Just like the other series, the series between the Philadelphia Reapers and the Las Vegas Aces is going to be a short one. The Philadelphia Reapers finished the regular season second with 54 wins, 13 losses and 5 overtime losses for 113 points in 72 games. After finishing 3rd, 4th and 5th in points with 100, 90 and 85 points respectively, ALTO RED @alto_red, Joseph Poole @Itz_Viperz and Adam Joy @MrMom will have a lot of responsabilities in the playoffs as they will be the top players for the Reapers for the rest of the playoffs. Philadelphia acquired the goalkeeper Toby Bob @Baby Boomer at the trade deadline and he will without a doubt have a positive impact with the team. VSN Prediction: Philadelphia wins in 5 games. Quarter-final #3 - Halifax 21st (3) vs Saskatoon Wild (7) Regular season series: HFX wins 5-1-1. This series should be a little bit more interesting than the first two as the Saskatoon Wild should be able to put up a fight against the Halifax 21st. In 72 games this season, the 21st won 47 games, lost 18 games in regulation and lost 7 games in overtime for 101 points and the Wild recorded 34 wins, 33 losses and 7 losses in overtime for 73 points in 72 games. In offense, Hater Tottingham @Trunkxolotl will have to be the leader of this team and defensively Chad Powers @Big_Dyl will need to be a big wall in front of the net. At the trade deadline, the Saskatoon Wild decided to trade their best players to acquire draft picks in the upcoming drafts and prospects. Because of this decision, the Wild will have some difficulties in the playoffs this season, but it was definitely the best decision for the future. VSN Prediction: Halifax wins in 5 games. Quarter-final #4 - Mexico City Kings (4) vs Mississauga Hounds (5) Regular season series: MEX wins 4-3-1. The series between the Mexico City Kings and the Mississauga Hounds is probably going to be the only interesting series of the first round as either team could win this series. The Mexico City Kings and the Mississauga Hounds finished the season with 44 wins and 96 points and 38 wins and 84 points respectively. The Kings will be led by Ryan Mantz @Rkhockey9, Ronan Amnon @Breeze837 and Peter Venkman @Josh and the Hounds will have to count on Sidney Sheppard @GoodLeftUndone and Kurt Bachmann @Blutch to lead the team offensively and defensively. The difference in my opinion will be in the net as Pepe Silvia @STZ will probably stole a game or two in this series. VSN Prediction: Mexico City wins in 6 games. Semi-final #1 - Houston Bulls (1) vs Mexico City Kings (4) Regular season series: HOU wins 6-2-2. This first semi-final is going to be pretty interesting as the winners of the Prime Minister's Cup will face the Mexico City Kings. The Houston Bulls won the season series between the two teams with 6 wins, 2 losses and 2 losses in overtime for 14 points in a possibility of 20. I believe that the Mexico City Kings can give the Houston Bulls a hard time in this series, but at the end of the day, the Bulls are in my opinion too good for the Kings. This series won't be over in four games as Mexico City will do everything they can to win, but it won't go in seven games either. VSN Prediction: Houston wins in 6 games. Semi-final #2 - Philadelphia Reapers (2) vs Halifax 21st (3) Regular season series: PHI wins 8-1-0. After two easy first rounds for the Philadelphia Reapers and the Halifax 21st, it is now going to be way more difficult to win this second round. Indeed, the two teams are almost identical on paper and I really think that this series could go either way. The only thing that can give an advantage to a team is the season series winners as the Philadelphia Reapers won it 8 games to 1. The Reapers completely dominated the 21st during the regular season and even if the playoffs and the regular season are two different things, I would still give the advantage to the Philadelphia Reapers because of this reason. VSN Prediction: Philadelphia wins in 6 games. Founder's Cup Final - Houston Bulls (1) vs Philadelphia Reapers (2) Regular season series: HOU wins 4-2-1. In the final of the Founder's Cup playoffs the Houston Bulls will face the Philadelphia Reapers, the top two teams of the regular season will face each other in a best of 7 series to determine the winner of this season's Founder's Cup. It will once again be a really interesting series as the two teams are pretty similar on paper even if I give a little edge to Houston. Both teams could win it, but I think that the Houston Bulls will come up on top. VSN Prediction: Houston wins the Founder's Cup in 7 games. That’s all for me, thanks everyone for reading and I wish you all great playoffs! See you in the next VSN article! P.S. the article was written before the sims of sunday the 20th.

@courtjestr19 Welcome everyone, We are now three days before the trade deadline and it is already more exciting than last season. Indeed, just a quick reminder that we did not even see a single trade at the trade deadline last season in the VHLM. Some people even called it one of the worst trade deadline in the history of the league. However, this season is completely different as three trades were already made and we can except a couples more before 3PM Monday. Three monster trades Houston Bulls and San Diego Marlins Two days ago, the Houston Bulls acquired one of the most coveted players of this trade deadline. Indeed, Cardinal Copia @Beketov is playing his last season in the VHLM before going to the VHL and will without a doubt be an important player for the Bulls in the playoffs. In return, the Bulls gave Nick Sansoe Jr @Tipskid97, their 5th round pick in S100 and their 6th round pick in S100. Sansoe Jr is a good prospect that will help the Marlins for another one or two seasons. Philadelphia Reapers and Miami Marauders This trade was a classic one for one as the Philadelphia Reapers traded their 1st round pick in S100 for the centerman Danny Ross @Spartakiller2. Ross is already a veteran in the league and he could maybe play another season in the VHLM and if it happens, Philadelphia really won that trade. On the other hand, if Danny Ross goes to the VHL next season, the trade becomes a little bit more equal, but I would give the edge to Miami this time as a 1st round pick in S100 as a lot of value. Houston Bulls and Mississauga Hounds To be completely honest, I am not entirely familiar with the rules about the number of draft picks in the VHLM, but I feel like this trade is about that. The Houston Bulls sent their 1st in S99 and their 4th in S100 and in exchange, the Mississauga Hounds traded their 2nd in S99 and their 3rd in S99. There isn't a lot to say about this trade, we just have to wait to see who each team drafted with their picks. #1 Houston Bulls Current record: 37-6-2 Current situation: Buyer The Houston Bulls are currently in a good position, they are first in the league, they won their last eight games, they only lost one game in their last eighteen games and everything seems to go perfectly. They already did a couple of trades to improve the team as they acquired Cardinal Copia recently and Dog Jagr @koty_k and Gingy @MexicanCow123 at the beginning of the season. I know I said that they were buyers, but if I was the GM of the Houston Bulls I wouldn't do anything else at this point and I would just keep the team like that. #2 Philadelphia Reapers Current record: 35-8-3 Current situation: status quo The Philadelphia Reapers are in a fun, but also a weird place right now. Objectively, I don't think anyone thought that the Reapers would be second in the standings at this point of the season, but here they are. In addition, almost every player on the team will be back next season, so again if I was the GM I wouldn't do anything this season and I would wait for next season when the team will be more ready. #3 Halifax 21st Current record: 25-13-7 Current situation: Buyer The Halifax 21st are almost in the same situation as the Philadelphia Reapers as almost everyone will come back next season, but the difference is that Halifax is going to lose some key players this off-season, that's why I would try to improve the team a little bit to compete this season. Their defense is looking good, but their offense could use the help of one or two other forwards to solidify the top 6. #4 Mexico City Kings Current record: 25-15-6 Current situation: Buyer With one of the best goalie in the league and probably the best defense in the league, Mexico City are a little bit disappointing this season. They are doing good as they are fourth in the league and one of the best team defensively, but they are struggling a little bit offensively. If they want to be the best team in the league, the Kings will have to acquire a first line forward that will help the offense for the rest of the season. #5 Mississauga Hounds Current record: 25-16-5 Current situation: Buyer/Seller The Mississauga Hounds are in a really tricky situation. I don't think they have the roster to compete with the best teams in the league, but they are not really far either. On the other hand, their best players are going to play in the VHL next season, so they have to do something with it. They honestly could do both, but they have to choose, they can't do nothing. They either buy to try to compete or they sell their best players to compete next season, but if they decide to keep the team like that, they won't win this season and will lose their players for nothing. #6 Saskatoon Wild Current record: 25-17-4 Current situation: Seller Almost in the same situation as the Mississauga Hounds, the Saskatoon Wild are in my opinion missing a little bit more pieces to compete with the top teams this season. With only five forwards and two defensemen, the team is a little bit short staffed and should consider selling their best players before they lose them for nothing at the end of the season. #7 Las Vegas Aces Current record: 18-21-6 Current situation: Seller The situation is pretty easy for the Las Vegas Aces as they objectively won't compete for the Cup this season, so the only other option is to sell. Since Mathias Gunnarsson @ThatCanadian is probably going to play in the VHL next season, the Aces could try to get something in return, but other than that, there's not a lot to do for them. #8 Ottawa Lynx Current record: 18-25-3 Current situation: Seller In my opinion, the trade deadline is going to be pretty quiet in Ottawa this season and there is not a lot to do. They are not going all in this season, so no need to trade for something and everyone on the team is coming back next season, so no need to trade anyone either. The only thing they can do is to keep their playoffs spot and maybe hope to cause a surprise in the playoffs. #9 San Diego Marlins Current record: 11-33-2 Current situation: Seller The San Diego Marlins already traded the only player they really had to trade in Cardinal Copia and now the only thing they have to do is wait for next season. If they have a good off-season, the Marlins are going to be really dangerous next season. #10 Miami Marauders Current record: 9-31-5 Current situation: Seller Just like the San Diego Marlins, the Miami Marauders already did what they had to do before the trade deadline when they traded Danny Ross. Now, there's not anything else to do and they just have to wait for the off-season to begin. That’s all for me, thanks everyone for reading. I wish you all a good end of the season and I'll see you in another VSN article soon!

@ace_five_ Welcome everyone, It is now the beginning of the third season since the VHLE was killed and I wanted to take another look at it. I remember when the commissioners announced the end of the VHLE, it got a lot of people talking. Some were really really happy to see it defunct, some were disappointed, but after the two-three weeks of hype, it has fallen in the oblivion. This is why I wanted to have a little bit of fun and tried to do a top 10 of the best forwards of the history of the VHLE. I hope I didn’t forget anyone, if I did let me know. Honorable mention: John Richards @John Cimarno: 360 GP, 135 G, 154 A, 289 P, Renaissance Cup S90, Aldwin Craig S89 Finn Davis @M1nT: 432 GP, 124 G, 238 A, 362 P Jlloyoid Blloyoiderson @Cxsquared: 216 GP, 111 G, 148 A, 259 P Matt Rooster @hcrooster96: 471 GP, 148 G, 245 A, 393 P Ray withers @Ray Withers: 572 GP, 169 G, 255 A, 424 P, Renaissance Cup S84 #10 Tyrece the beast (COL) @beanhead420 To start the top 10 today, we have Tyrece the beast, a centerman who played his entire career with the Cologne Express between S92 and S95. In this period of time, the beast recorded 92 goals, 157 assists and 249 points in 274 games. He kept a differential of +77 and gave 468 hits. He also did really good in the playoffs as he accumulated 11 goals and 29 points in 38 games. On top of that, Tyrece the beast won the Renaissance Cup with the Cologne Express two times, in S94 and in S95. The Express was nothing less than a dynasty in the late 80's and the early 90's and Tyrece was a really important player for the time he played there. #9 Lorenzo Cobberson (OSL, COL) @Hendrix Cobberson For the second player of our top 10, we have another Cologne Express player. Cobberson started his VHLE's career in S85 with the Oslo Storm where he only scored 15 points in 72 games during the regular season. He however won his first Renaissance Cup this season. Lorenzo Cobberson then got traded to the Cologne Express and this is where his production exploded. Indeed, he recorded 254 points in 216 games while maintaining a +/- of 109. He also won a Cup with Cologne in S87 after scoring 9 points in 11 games. #8 Alexander Stroheim (IST, OSL) @Stroheim Alexander Stroheim is the only player in the top 10 who played only three seasons in the VHLE. He played a season and a half with the Istanbul Red Wolves and another season and a half with the Oslo Storm where he won a Renaissance Cup in S88. During these playoffs, Alexander Stroheim had 16 points in 13 games to help his team win. In 216 games with the two teams, Stroheim scored 114 goals and added 154 assists for a total of 268 points. He also had a differential of +41. #7 Kobe Johnson (GEN, VAS) @Vkobe-v Kobe Johnson was drafted by the Geneva Rush at the end of the second round, 15th overall in the S86 draft. He then started his career in S87 with Geneva where he played the next three seasons. Johnson finished his VHLE's career with the Vasteras Iron Eagles where he played two seasons, to make it five total. In 360 games in the VHLE, Kobe Johnson recorded 146 goals and 180 assists for a total in 326 points. He also kept a really impressive +112 while adding 506 hits and 80 shots blocked. #6 Aldwin Craig (STO) @Eldredman Aldwin Craig played the entirety of his career with the team that drafted him 6th overall in the first ever VHLE Entry Draft in S80, the Stockholm Vikings. He played five seasons with the team where he scored 99 goals, 221 assists and 320 points in 360 games. Craig won the Renaissance Cup with Stockholm in S81 and he scored 7 points in 9 games in these series. He also won the trophy of the best two-way forward of the VHLE in S81, that would later on be named after him, the Aldwin Craig Trophy. #5 Maxwell Mathias (OSL, VAS, GEN, COL, ROM, BRA) @Underclass_Hero We are now getting into the top 5 and the one that is starting it is the third forward with the most point in the history of the VHLE, Maxwell Mathias. During his career in the VHLE, Mathias played for six different teams and he made the Renaissance Cup final two times, in S84 and in S85, but he lost both times in six games. In 494 games, Maxwell Mathias scored 127 goals and added 320 assists for 447 points. To that, he added 872 hits and 724 shots blocked. #4 Al Land (STO, COL) @Big Dee Al Land started his career with the Stockholm Vikings in S85, but he only played one season there before going to Cologne where he played five seasons, in S86, S88, S89, S90 and S91. With the two teams, Land recorded 172 goals and 207 assists for a total of 379 points in 432 games. Al Land is also the forward with the most Renaissance Cup tied with BjorkaBjorn BjornaBjorkson. Indeed, he won three Renaissance Cup and what's even more impressive is that he won them back to back to back, in S89, S90 and S91. #3 Adeline Delle Donne (BRA, COL, VAS, OSL) @Dtayl Adeline Delle Donne is the second forward with the most points in the history of the VHLE and third all positions combined. She played for four different teams during her career and scored 194 goals, 296 assists and 490 points in 572 points. Delle Donne was also pretty good in the playoffs as she won two Renaissance Cup, the first one in S83 with the Bratislava Watchmen and the second one in S88 with the Oslo Storm. S87 was a good season for her as she won the Aldwin Craig Trophy. #2 Sebastien dokis (GEN, STO, VAS, OSL) @Sebastien Sebastien dokis is without a doubt a top 5 VHLE player of all-time all positions combined as he finished his career with 151 goals, 279 assists and 430 points in 418 games. S87 was by far dokis' best season as he finished with 48 goals and 115 points in 72 games and he also won the Ronan Lavelle Trophy awarded to the most valuable player during the regular season. Sebastien dokis won his only Renaissance Cup the season before in S86 with the Oslo Storm. #1 BjorkaBjorn BjornaBjorkson (COL, ROM, BRA) @JardyB10 I don't even think that this is a debate, but BjorkaBjorn BjornaBjorkson was and will always be the best player the VHLE ever saw. He is almost always 1st in every offensive categories. He is by far first in goals (303), second in assists (347), first in points (650), fourth in +/- (+108), by far first in shots (3678), first among the forwards in hits (1047), first in game winning goals (54), second in power play goals (70), second in short handed goals (4) and first in hat tricks (9). During his career, BjornaBjorkson won the Renaissance Cup three times, all with the Cologne Express, in S87, S94 and in S95. He also won the Florida Man Trophy in S88 with the Rome Gladiators. That’s all for me, thanks everyone for reading. I wish you all a good end of the season and I'll see you in another VSN article soon!

Tonight was the beginning of my 4th seasons as the GM of the London United and I feel like we are ready to take the next step and compete for a place in the playoffs this season. We have a really good group in the locker room I know we are going to make great things soon. C - Alexandros Mograine @sliceruser Once again, Alexandros Mograine will be the captain of the London United this season. It was a no-brainer for me as he was part of the team since the beginning of this adventure. We are really happy to have him on the team and we are confident that he will have another really good season. A - Alagsantere Groenvold @VattghernCZ After a really good rookie season, we are really excited to see what Groenvold will do this season for the team. Alagsantere is a really important member of the locker room and they make everyone feel welcome when they join the London United. A - Drosmis Sarkanis @Mr Bohannan Finally, we have Drosmis Sarkanis who finished on the All-VHL rookie team last season because of his incredible season. Sarkanis is also an important player in the locker room and we are really glad to have him on the team. Congratulations to everyone and let's goo London!!

Hey welcome back!!!
-
@slothfacekilla Welcome everyone, I don't know why, but it is the season start that I have been the most excited about in a little while. Maybe it's because the off-season took 5 years... or maybe it's because I feel like we are going to see, once again, a really exciting and fierce race during the regular season. The season will start next Wednesday, but before that, here is the S98 VHLM season preview. #1 Mexico City Kings Offense rank: 2nd Defense rank: T-1st Goalie rank: T-1st The Mexico City Kings had a pretty difficult season in S97 as they finished 8th in the league with a record of 29 wins, 31 losses, and 12 losses in overtime for a total of 70 points in 72 games. However, at the dawn of the regular season, it seems like Mexico City's roster is now totally different as all the players are way better than they were last season, but only two players joined the team in the off-season. Indeed, Peter Venkman @Josh and Tina Hughes @tinafrombobsburgers are going to be two really important player at the blue line for the Kings. #2 Houston Bulls Offense rank: 1st Defense rank: 3rd Goalie rank: T-1st Just like last season, the Houston Bulls are once again going to go all-in this season as they will probably be one of the best team in the league. The best forward core in the league are all pretty similar and it is pretty tough to predict which one will be the best, but led by Hunter s @Hunter S and Robin Sierra @ethanjaeda, Houston's offense is without a doubt going to be really dangerous this season. With Feka Ohi Kau @Hacob and Jack Jack @Uncommon on defense and Bartholomew Lorequavius @jaypc8237 tending the goal, the Bulls will be a force this season. #3 Halifax 21st Offense rank: 4th Defense rank: T-1st Goalie rank: T-1st After a big regular season in S97 as they won the Prime Minister's Cup for the best regular season record in the VHLM, the Halifax 21st will again look to compete for the Founder's Cup in the playoffs this season. The 21st lost a couple of really important players from last season, but they have young players who benefited from the off-season. Offensively, Hater Tottingham @Trunkxolotl and Steven Nichols @SlyDigi are going to be important for Halifax this season, and Chad Powers @Big_Dyl in the net will be one of the best goalies in the league this season. #4 Mississauga Hounds Offense rank: 5th Defense rank: 4th Goalie rank: 6th Last season was really difficult for the Mississauga Hounds because they finished last in the league with only 11 wins, 49 losses, and 12 overtime losses for a total of 34 points in 72 games. However, the team grew from this and are now ready to compete again in S98. Mississauga acquired Sidney Sheppard @GoodLeftUndone from the Miami Marauders during the off-season and the Canadian forward is going to be the leader of this offense. Defensively, Kurt Bachmann @Blutch is going to be the general of this team. #5 Saskatoon Wild Offense rank: 3rd Defense rank: 9th Goalie rank: T-1st The Saskatoon Wild had a pretty interesting playoff run last season as they defeated the San Diego Marlins in the 1st round before losing to the Founder's Cup champion in the 2nd round. This season, the Wild will hope to continue this momentum and will even try to compete as they have a pretty good offense led by CJ Daniels @xNJDevilsFanx and Captain Nugget Jr @Captain nugget, and also a good goalie in Toby Bob @Baby Boomer. The only question mark is on defense as they currently only have two defensemen in their roster. #6 Philadelphia Reapers Offense rank: 7th Defense rank: 5th Goalie rank: 7th Just like the Mississauga Hounds, the Philadelphia Reapers faced some difficulties last season as they finished 9th in the league with 24 wins and 56 points in 72 games. This season, the Reapers will continue their rebuild as I don't see them being among the top teams in the league. The Philadelphia Reapers acquired forward Joseph Poole @Itz_Viperz and the S99 LVA 3rd from San Diego for Jacob Seed @oilmandan and a 5th in S99. With Joseph Poole, Jackson Jeannot @Lucas anton is going to be the another forward that will lead the team offensively. #7 San Diego Marlins Offense rank: 8th Defense rank: 6th Goalie rank: 9th The San Diego Marlins' roster is really weird this season. They have some of the best forwards in the league in Cardinal Copia @Beketov and Zak Trokker @Peace, but they only have three forwards on their team. At the blue line, Victory Hockey League @TheHockey_pro will have to step up if they want to compete this season. I don't know what the plan of the GM is, but if they want to compete, they definitely need to add some depth to this team. On the other hand, if they want to rebuild, the team has a lot of options. #8 Las Vegas Aces Offense rank: 9th Defense rank: 7th Goalie rank: 5th I would like to congratulate the Las Vegas Aces for their victory of the S97 Founder's Cup. The upcoming regular season is going to be a little bit different for the Las Vegas Aces as I don't see them being as competitive as they were last season. Raoul Cyr @Tyler and Mathias Gunnarsson @ThatCanadian will have to play a big role in the locker room if they want the team to perform and to make the playoffs this time around. #9 Ottawa Lynx Offense rank: 6th Defense rank: 10th Goalie rank: 8th S98 is going to be a weird season in Ottawa. Indeed, with Gingy @MexicanCow123 and Owen two @do3bo1, Ottawa is going to be pretty good offensively and they probably won't have any difficulty scoring goals. However, the problem is going to be on defense and in front of the net. With only two defensemen in the roster and a young rookie goalie, preventing the other teams from scoring goals will be a pretty big challenge for the team. Ottawa could make the playoffs, but it would be a surprise for me. #10 Miami Marauders Offense rank: 10th Defense rank: 8th Goalie rank: 10th The Miami Marauders' run ended early last season as they lost in the first round of the playoffs against the Las Vegas Aces. Sadly, the team lost a lot of key players in the off-season and now only have seven players on their entire roster. Danny Ross @Spartakiller2 and Dog Jagr @koty_k will without a doubt have a lot of ice time this season and are going to be important players for the team. That’s all for me, thanks everyone for reading. I wish you all a good season and I'll see you in another VSN article soon!
-
Congrats V.2, really excited to work with you again!!
-
Feels weird to not play for Canada, but let's goo team world!!!

@slothfacekilla Welcome everyone! After a really interesting regular season and playoffs full of surprises, it is time to turn the page on Season 97-- but before that, I would like to congratulate @sadie and the Las Vegas Aces for their incredible run in the playoffs and their Founder's Cup victory. S98 will begin with the S98 VHLM Dispersal Draft and we are here to do the Mock Draft. So without further ado, let's dive in with the Marlins! #1 San Diego Marlins Tina Hughes @tinafrombobsburgers D - 255 TPE Even tough the San Diego Marlins finished 3rd in the standings, they had the 1st round pick of the Mississauga Hounds, who finished last in the standings, as they acquired it back in S96. San Diego had a pretty good regular season before losing in the first round to the Las Vegas Aces, and a lot of players are returning for another run in S98. I think that with the returning players and the new rookies, the Marlins will have the team to be pretty good again. Since Tina Hughes is by far the best player in the draft this season, they are, in my opinion, the logic choice for San Diego. #2 Philadelphia Reapers Titus Cunningham @thadthrasher D - 160 TPE After a tough season, the Philadelphia Reapers will look to continue their rebuild by adding a couple of young players that will play in the VHLM for more than one season. With the 2nd overall pick, they have the opportunity to draft a "safe bet" that everybody knows will become a great player in the VHLM and even in the VHL. This player is Titus Cunningham. They will likely play two seasons in the VHLM, and will without a doubt help the team they are playing for. Since I believe the Reapers will be ready to compete next season, Titus is the ideal player for them. #3 Mexico City Kings Krister Von Casar Tzesar @comrade cat D - 145 TPE Mexico City's roster is starting to look good, and I really believe that if they can improve their defense during the off-season, they can compete for the Founder's Cup in Season 99. After Tina Hughes and Titus Cunningham, the third best defenseman in the draft is Krister Von Casar Tzesar, a strong, 6' 8", man among boys from Sweden. Tzesar could really help the Kings this season and even for the season after that as I see him playing in the VHLM for the next 2-3 seasons. #4 Saskatoon Wild Lorenzo Mancini @GioSivo LW - 165 TPE After a really surprising run in the playoffs, the Saskatoon Wild are probably going to continue their rebuild next season and will look to draft players that will play more than one season with them. After losing key players, Mikko Tuomala @flyersfan345 and Brigitta Sandstrom @Acydburn, both of whom moved up to the VHL, the Wild should look for projects in the draft. In my opinion, Lorenzo Manicini is the perfect fit for the team as he will also play for another 2-3 seasons in the VHLM and could help the team now and in the future. #5 Las Vegas Aces Kal El @Viper LW - 137 TPE The Las Vegas Aces lost a lot of star players after their Founder's Cup victory and are kind of in the middle. I could see them trying to make a push to be competitive for another season, but I could also see them selling everything to go into a rebuild. In both cases, Kal El would be the best choice for the Aces. Firstly, they just won the Cup with the team so they are already familiar with how everything works in Las Vegas. Secondly, they can help the team now if they want to compete, but they can also be really useful in the future if the team decides to rebuild. #6 Saskatoon Wild Nick Sansoe Jr @Tipskid97 RW - 134 TPE With their second pick in the first round, the Saskatoon Wild will probably continue with the same strategy they had when they drafted their first player. They will continue their rebuild and Nick Sansoe Jr is the perfect pick for this. just like Kal El, Nick Sansoe Jr played for the Saskatoon Wild last season, so he already knows how things are done there and he could play for the Wild for at least the next 2-3 seasons. #7 Houston Bulls Ryan Mantzz @Rkhockey9 RW - 214 TPE Just like the Las Vegas Aces, the Houston Bulls are at a crossroads, they could go all in for another season or sell everything and enter a rebuild. Ryan Mantzz would be the perfect pick for the team as he can help them no matter what direction they take. He is already a good player and I think he will play two more seasons in the VHLM before going to the VHL. #8 Halifax 21st Family Mart @birb LW - 110 TPE The Halifax 21st have two picks at the end of the first round, and after a really good regular season in S97, they will try to be competitive again in S98. I think a little reconstruction is what the team needs so they can be competitive in S99. With that in mind, Family Mart is the best choice for the 21st. He will be an important player for Halifax for the next 2-3 seasons at least and would be returning to the club after a short waiver stint. #9 Mississauga Hounds Yor Bjorven @Rin G - 134 TPE After a difficult season, the Mississauga Hounds only have the 9th overall pick in the first round, but the team is starting to look good and could even compete next season. The only position that has a big question mark is in front of the net as they don't really have a goalie-- both of their S97 goalies are re-entering the draft after being waiver pickups. This is why they could re-acquire one of them with their 9th overall selection, re-enter Yor Bjorven. #10 Halifax 21st Viener Schnitzel @Spaz RW - 90 TPE Just as with the 8th overall pick, the Halifax 21st are going to draft a player that could help them next season, but especially in the seasons to come. Viener Schnitzel could very well play in the VHLM for the next three seasons and could be a really important player for the 21st in the future as they retool after their Founder's Cup bid.
