Cologne and Vasteras Complete Deal Before Deadline

Recommended Posts

Just coming in before the trade deadline was an absolutely huge trade between the Cologne Express and the Vasteras Iron Eagles. The trade breaks down as follows:

To Cologne Express:

Jack Quill
Mason Rice
Montgomery Burns

To Vasteras Iron Eagles:

Brayden Albrecht
James MacAvoy
S91 COL 3rd

Cologne lands the best player in the deal in Montgomery Burns who was already producing at a strong rate (22 goals, 20 assists and 42 points in 46 games) and while playing for struggling Vasteras. Already in three games since the deal he has added two goals to up his total to 24 on the season. Also coming across was Mason Rice who was second in scoring (Burns was first) for Vasteras (15 goals, 18 assists, 33 points in 46 games). Sturdy defender Jack Quill was the final piece going to Cologne. Quill led the Iron Eagles in shot blocks (94) and also added in a healthy 23 points.

Going to Vasteras was a lot of futures. A S91 COL 3rd was the pick that went over along with veteran Brayden Albrecht who has already scored a goal and an assist with the Iron Eagles. Prospect James MacAvoy was the final piece going over to Vasteras. MacAvoy has 13 goals and 19 assists for 32 points in 45 games for the Mississauga Hounds.

Time will tell who won this deal but the early indications are this was an Express win for sure.
