youloser1337 1,111
It’s been a crazy season for the Seattle Bears. At the start of the season, a Victory Cup wasn’t in the cards. Closing out the season with 11 wins in a row, the Seattle Bears fall short of the Victory Cup by 2 points to the Moscow Menace. “The Victory Cup isn’t what we are chasing. We wanted to get a good position in the playoffs,” exclaimed Scoish Velociraptor Maloish. Maloish talked to the media after the 11th Bears win and final game of the regular season. “The group pulled together after a rocky start to the season. We worked together as a team. I’m excited to see where this group goes in the playoffs. Last season I was with the Los Angeles Stars and getting set up for the play-in stage. Being traded to Seattle was a great move in the long run. It helped out both teams. I hope we can taste a deep playoff run this season.” With the end of the regular season, Maloish has had a career year with the Seattle Bears. This is the 2nd time being traded and the 2nd time that he improved after being traded. Going from 23 points in his rookie campaign with Calgary to 56 points with Los Angeles. Now he is going from 75 points with the Stars to 81 points with Seattle. We tried to get a comment on this interesting stat. “I think a new environment is great for me. It happened with Calgary and Los Angeles and now with Los Angeles and Seattle. The move was very easy and my teammates made me feel at home here. I was very excited to get the season started.” When we last left off with Maloish, he was just traded to Seattle. He was just getting started and trying to fit in. Now, he is enjoying life in Seattle. We asked him how it was going in Seattle. “When I first got to Seattle I didn’t know much about the area. Luckily I was able to find a good apartment. I never really explored the area whenever we would visit Seattle. Usually, it was just getting to the hotel, the practice rink, and then the arena. It was nice to explore on my first day. During the season I decided to get a house here. I am really committed to staying here and I hope the same can be said with management. I know it wasn’t the best start for me, but I feel like I stepped up. I got to showcase my talents on the powerplay as well, which is something my scouts really hyped up.” Maloish was really for the challenge this season with his career-best 81 points. This includes a new high of 26 goals and 55 assists. It seems that he is slowly transitioning from a defensive defenseman to an offensive defenseman. A big part of that is being a quarterback for the powerplay. 32 points of his 81 were from the man advantage with 15 goals and 17 assists.
