Willcox prior to the start of the Blades vs. the Outlaws

In what turned out to be a sub par set of games for the Brampton Blades over the weekend, the play of newcomer Travis Willcox turned out to be one of the lone bright spots for the team. In the Blades lone win against the Outlaws, Willcox netted two assists, one of which was on the game winning goal. In three games played, the two points against the Outlaws were the only points he tallied, but his strong defensive play was also a factor.

" I'm happy with my play in my first three game set with the Blades. Coach awarded me with good minutes, and it is my job to justify my playing time. It is a much faster, more physical game here in the VHLM compared to the Elite Hockey League in the United Kingdom, and I will have to show up night in and night out in order to advance my role on the team.
