It has been a miserable season for the basement dweller of the VHLM this season. Both Mexico City and Halifax knew it was going to be a struggle with five players or less on both rosters. There was hope that some rising waiver players would help these two teams out. But the players never came. A recruitment season so bad that the JST was canceled, has left both clubs down the creek with no paddles. Management of both teams are wondering what to do next. Barely having enough players to play is not good for the long-term viability of both clubs. Is this situation fixable or is it time for the nuclear option. A reduction of the VHLM similar to the reduction the VHLE went through last season certainly is in the cards, and Mexico City and Halifax, with the fewest players on the roster, are likely on the chopping block. Can these two franchise find a way to survive or are they doomed to die?
