hylands 845
the malmo nighthawks just about stumbled into the playoffs in 4th place. just a week ago it was looking like they would be heading for a 2nd place finish in the conference, but some critical losses in the final games of the season have sealed their fate to a wildcard battle against the helsinki titans. lately it seems that an explosion of offence from the team is paired with a less than stellar defensive showing. if the nighthawks are to have any success in the playoffs they will need to put an end to that trend sooner rather than later. as they looked to put that disappointing end of the season behind them, they were hit with a fresh dose of reality when they found themselves on the brink of elimination after two rough losses right out of the gate in the wildcard round. a blowout loss to start the series, followed by a much better showing where they ultimately came up short and things were looking bleak for the swedish club. with their backs against the wall, the nighthawks found their footing and brought the series back to even, setting up a one game showdown against the titans to determine who will matchup against davos in the first round of the playoffs.
