Gustav Mattias entering Europe

 Dear Mr. Zetterberg 

 

I trust that this message has reached you, I am Mr. Berocka the head of North Eastern Australian Talent House or NEATH for short. My player a Mr. Gustav Mattias is having his rookie season in the Victory Hockey League Europe with your establishment this season. As I am sure you are aware he has recently finished up with the San Diego Marlins and has made the playoffs with them. My player is an avid ice hockey fan and wants to be one of the greats in the VHL someday. I trust that your leadership can assist him on his path to greatness. 

 

Some of the things he would like to achieve this season include: 

 

• Scoring more and more goals, Mr. Mattias sees himself as a Sniper and only a sniper he wants to feature on your powerplay unit and strong ice time but has no interest in playing on the penalty kill or playing defensively. He is here to break scoring records and he believes that the defenders and goalie should be the one saving the goals. 

• Winning the Championship or at least making it to the final round of playoffs. Mr. Mattias sees himself as a star player and wants to make sure he is on the biggest stage to showcase his talents to the world. He believes that the more time he spends in the big matches the more chance he has at making it big in the VHL. 

• Enough training and resources to be ready to play in the VHL next season, this is purely a stepping stone team to Mr. Mattias, and he will not be here next season. I suggest that you use his strengths and star power wisely and create a championship calibre team around him. 

 

I can see that you have already put together quite a good team and I am trusting you to do the right things to make sure this team succeeds. I have my faith that you will do the right thing for Mr. Mattias. I have had a close look at your roster, and I can see that you do not have anyone with the same strengths in scoring as Mr. Mattias especially in the penalty shot department so I can hope that he will feature in the following: 

 

• Top 6 minutes for forwards I understand if you need to play him on the second line for chemistry sake 

• Top line Powerplay unit, you don’t have anyone else who can score as well as him so please use him wisely 

• Top 3 penalty shot takers for the shootout, he is your greatest asset please make sure he is getting a chance every shootout. 

 

In saying all of that though I do not want to see him playing on the penalty kill if you do that you might have a trade request coming through the next day.
