Berocka 2,263
The life story of the one and only Gustav Mattias Gustav Mattias was born in the year 2000 after the scare of Y2K, he was born to Mother Sarah and Father Robert, he is the youngest of three as he has two older sisters Veronica and Jasmine. Gustav grew up quite alone as his father Robert was in the Air Force and was never really at home. He always spent his time hiding from his sisters who would constantly bully the boy. He would spend his time inside on his laptop and he wanted to be a doctor so he could help people and make them fit and healthy. Due to his constant studying he never really had time for any other activities and the child was called a nerd most of his time in school. When Gustav entered High school, he was on his way to becoming a doctor, he was three grades above in both science and mathematics and his handwriting was 3 years below his age. This is exactly what all the top universities are looking for their new Doctors. Gustav was a special sort of little boy, when he gets his mind on an idea, he will go through whatever he can to make sure that this will become a reality. This is why he is succeeding so well at becoming a doctor. The issue is one fateful night when he was in high school, he had finished his exams, and his father was back home and they went to go watch the local team play, during the second period there was a horrible accident. One of the pucks flew out and hit poor Gustav in the head and caused some serious damage including knocking him out. The team doctor took the young boy onto the ice to try and ice the massive egg on his head and Gustav returned to consciousness, the first thing he saw when he woke up was all these people in hockey uniforms surrounding him, he again lost consciousness and was rushed off to the hospital. When he finally woke up in the hospital, he was told that he had severe brain damage and that he may have some memory loss. It turns out that his IQ had dropped quite a lot and his dreams of being a doctor were well and truly shattered. Luckily for him though he cannot remember that he wanted to be a doctor he believes that his dream was to become the next big star in the Victory Hockey League. From the day that he got the all clear from the Hospital Gustav would spend every spare moment he had on the ice honing his skills. He was extremely bad at first and no one would play with him so he would practice skating around with the puck and shooting goals. This is where his love for goal scoring first came in. It took Gustav one whole year of learning before any of the local teams would even let him try out and to their surprise when they gave him the chance he excelled. Well he excelled at the drills when there was an actual game to be played he was extremely lost, he had never been on the ice with anyone else and wasn’t sure what to do when he didn’t have the puck. So now Gustav focused on how to work as a team mate and made friends with his line mates and they would all train each day, Gustav went from being useless to becoming a great team player he knew how to pass well and would almost instinctively know where his teammates were going to be. Unfortunately, the injury that happened on that fateful night has seeped deep into Gustav’s subconscious and he really struggles with defending he gets scared when the puck is heading towards him and he just wants to be skating up the ice trying to score goals. Luckily due to all his practice he was an incredible goal scorer and this got him a position at the prestigious college he attended on a full scholarship for hockey. Gustav thrived through college and ended up being the top goal scorer for the season and breaking multiple school records, this led him to landing an agent with the North Eastern Australian Talent House. Becoming only the second player outside of Australia to be picked up by the agency. Gustav then unfortunately in his last game found out that his father had passed away when on a routine mission with the military as his Dad loved the game of hockey so much this gave extra drive to Gustav knowing that he needed to make it to the Victory Hockey League just like he had talked about with his father many times. It was that night that he registered for the VHLM draft, and the rest you can say will be history.
