Theres some good details in there too, like the shadowing and possibly a blur near the bottom half of the render. I think the white faded look on the render is a tough choice. I think you're going for an ominous look as it's a mystery what the player will be, but it just kinda takes the quality of the graphic down for me. I think you could have used the theme of the black text boxes to like cover the players face, and maybe wrote out the name but then used black boxes to cover the majority of the name so it was still an unknown.
