LA Stars Season 92 Preview

With Training Camp getting underway this week I figured now would be as good a time as any to do a quick little preview of what you could expect from the LA Stars this upcoming season . 
 

After back to back seasons where it looked like the Stars we’re gonna go all the way and win a Cup , but had their runs ended by the Dynamo in the S90 cup final and the Legion in the S91 NA Conference final . LA looks to make one last kick at the can before their Core retires and they begin a retool and slow rebuild . 
 

What can we expect from the Stars this season ? Well I think it’s much of the same as the past two years . Hit octance offence and steady defence . Last season the Stars had three hundred point players and showed their offensive depth as they could play anyone together and the team would score goals and win games ! I am a firm believer that’s going to be much of the same story this year aswell . Veteran centre and team captain Todd Cooke will look to lead the team to a Continental Cup this season in his final season in the VHL for retirement. Webber Jr and Napoleon Dynamite also join Cooke on the retirement tour this year , One thing is forsure these 4 want a Cup bad ! Breakout stars Sunglasses Joyo , Larry Abass Jr , and Adam Rage will undoubtedly contribute deeply to the ultimate goal that is lifting a Cup at seasons end ! One things forsure this team will not have trouble putting the puck in the net at all !

 

On defence Elias Lampi and Jens Lekman will bring their hard hitting two way games back to the Stars blue line this season . While the untimely loss of pope Francis will hurt the team I have full faith they will be able to recover and remain the strong defensive team they have been in seasons past ! Lampi and Lekman both have proven they can carry the load and be too pairing guys and they will have to do that more then anything this season . The Stars will rely heavily on them in Season 92.

 

Art Vandelay returns between the pipes joining his fellow S84 draft class retiree’s pushing for a Cup in their final season . Vandelay has been one of the best goalies in the league since he broke into the bigs way back when . And he will look to ride off into the sunset this year with that Cup in hand . 
 

LA Stars are truly riding that Cup or bust mentality more then ever this season. Anything less then that would be considered a failure and huge let down . If and when the Stars make the right tweaks I believe the Cup is theirs to lose . And @InstantRockstar will do whatever it takes to achieve that ultimate goal before he has to rebuild the Stars . 
 

Season 92 is shaping up to be an exciting one .

 

And a side note the upcoming draft class that will be unveiled after the trade deadline also looks as though it could be one of the more exciting ones in recent memory.
