losfail 10
Charles Losfeld is a fascinating prospect in the VHLM. After two years of prep school in Quebec City, the 18 years old man decide it was time to have a new challenge. He went undrafted, but it's wasn't the end of the world for him. He sent a letter to the Houston Bulls GM just like Josh Allen did in the NCAA and he got offered a contract after a huge training camp. Last season, he won MVP and best defenseman of the QPSHL (Quebec Prep School Hockey League) with 12 goals and 40 assists in 34 games. STRENGHTS Charles is a big body right handed defenseman who moves well for his big stature (6'6", 190 lbs). His open ice skating his fantastic. He can lead the rush and can separates himself from the defender. He can be the QB of the Power Play. He is capable of getting pucks to the net from long range. His outlets pass are tape to tape and hard. Active stick in the defensive zone. He use his long range to keep the puck away of his net. Willing to get in the shooting lanes to block shots on the Penalty Kill. Charles have a high work ethic. He's always the first to step on the ice to work his skills. He his showing great leadership. Low maintenance player for coaches. He can be use in a variety of roles, he was averaging 20:00 time of ice in prep school. WEAKNESSES Charles needs to work on his edge. Tight area game needs to improve. It's understable that this area of his game needs work with his big frame. Losfeld relies too much on his long range to defend. He could jump in the space and use his big body to defend. His puck handling skills could be better too. He takes too much risk when his team was losing instead of doing a simple play. He was showing more patience, vision and execution when he was carrying pucks in training camp. Charles is born in Quebec so he's gotta work on his communication to letting know his teammates wich play he is trying to do. He is currently taking english class with his new teammate Trimiskez Artav. EXPECTATIONS Charles should be just fine in the VHLM. He's a huge competitor so i wouldn't be surprise if he can carry his success from the QPSHL in the VHLM. He should earn a spot on the PP with his excellent vision and good skating to carry the puck.
