Goings on in the league, or so I am told

As I sit writing this article the rain falls relentlessly outside my small basement window. That comment is irrelevant to what I would like to discuss but I thought I would set the mood and practice some of my descriptive writing ability.  

 

For the most part I am clueless to the goings on in the league. Yet I have heard it said that a VHL advertisement was released sometime recently (on one or another social media platform that isn’t Facebook) and that we have had an influx of people join. I guess on the surface that is a good thing. More people should mean more fun. I briefly ponder what it is like to be a new person in the league without a natural connection. Being referred to the league by my son, I always had a natural place to reach out to when i had questions. That allowed for my learning curve to be shorter, or so i expect. 

I wonder what these people think, how they get connected, how they even come to terms with this thing called the VHL. Time will tell how many of our new players stick around, how many just leave.
