Season 93 is upon us

This is another ramble so I can claim for doubles before the season starts tomorrow, I don't really have a topic in mind. Season 93 will be the 22nd season I've played in the VHL across the M or L (I haven't played a season in the E yet). It would be 24th but I took seasons 87 and 88 off to recharge. I still don't know if that was enough at times though, Some days I still find it hard to get myself to actually work on VHL related stuff, I have to be in such a certain mood to work on something to do with the league. I feel like the 18 seasons I played in a row between Hextall and Ori I spent a lot of that energy and creativity for hockey focused topics in that span. Those years took all that want to write hockey right out of me and leaves me more often than not wanting to write about other things. I know I've gone over this topic a few times so sorry for the repetitiveness but I find there's always another way to explain it, another way to look at it. There's now doubt in my mind at this point that I'll take another break after Kadachi's career is done. I really wanted to have a player around for season 100 cause that will be something special but I don't want to make a player that would only play a season or two before I just want to quit entirely. I am at least dedicated to updating Kadachi all the way till the end of his career.

 

Speaking of Kadachi though I was taking a look back at his draft season of 91 to see where some of my fellow draftee's ended up at TPE wise. Seven players were taken ahead of Kadachi despite being one of seven to over 300 TPE at the draft. TPE isn't everything I know but I just feel like the odd one out when six of the top seven were over 300 and the one who wasn't was at 299. I'm not gonna sit here and act like I was miles ahead of others though, I was barely over 300 TPE (301) there were a number of players within 20-25 TPE of Kadachi. Maybe it's because I took a break or maybe it's based on Ori's career that GM's don't place me as high as others. Look I was never expecting to be top five but I was not expecting to fall that far either, I was thinking top ten at least. I get it though that GM's also talk with players/users before the draft and may lock themselves in on a certain player no matter the TPE difference, and I can respect and understand that. Really I just wonder if any of them regret not taking Kadachi when they had the chance. No hard feelings though, I love ya all!

 

Well I just need a touch more for 500... and that will do it. See you all for season 93!!
