Eagles settling in Rome

The season has started and Roger has slowly been settling into the Rome atmosphere.

While he has not started any games yet, he has played in 2 games as relief of Olafur Gunnleifsson and played very well. It will take a bit of time for the hot prospect to get used to the VHLE style of play but he is showing glimpses of being able to adapt quick.

Being thrown into backup duties in 2 games, Eagles has a solid 1.00 save % and 0.00 GA in 66 minutes played and 32 shots against. Eagles has yet to allow a goal and is showing signs of being able to take over the spot from Olafur very shortly.

Eagles even managed to get a win in one of the backup starts. In the game against Vasteras Olafur was quickly pulled after 15 minutes as he allowed 4 goals. Roger came in as relief and stopped the next 22 shots to give his team the 5-4 win. If Eagles continues to play like this, there will be no more reason to keep him isolated on the bench as a backup as he has slowly been proving himself that he belongs as Rome's starter,
