Legion Cooking Offensively To Open Season

Recommended Posts

11 games into the season, and the Legion have racked up 48 goals, averaging 4.36 goals per game. That offensive outburst has contributed to the Legion's league best +18 goal differential, along with allowing the sixth fewest goals against. The Legion offensive lead so far has come from the balanced contributions across the roster, including from the 1000 TPE club, the newest of which is Diego Machado (1005 TPE as of writing).

Toronto has five skaters who have more than 1000 active TPA:

Bobby Bob - 1206 TPA

Harry Callahan - 1165 TPA

Jimi Jaks - 1121 TPA

Mac Atlas - 1121 TPA

Diego Machado - 1005 TPA

All five of those skaters are in the top 10 in VHL point scoring at the moment:

Bobby Bob - 19 points (t-7th)

Harry Callahan - 18 points (9th)

Jimi Jaks - 22 points (t-3rd)

Mac Atlas - 20 points (t-5th)

Diego Machado - 19 points (t-7th)

This level of production has been a vital part of the Legion's 8-3-0 start to the season, and will be important to continue deep into this season if the Legion hope to achieve their goals for S94. It's not just the 1000 TPE group that is racking up points this season for Toronto, every skater on the roster is averaging better than half a point per game this season. That's something that only two other teams can say that they've done so far. The last skater on the roster looking for a goal this season is James MacAvoy, who has endured an unlucky scoring drought with 25 shots. That's bound to break through at some point, the bad shooting luck can't last forever.
