Four different games came down to a single goal, and three ended in a 2-1 result, with one of today's featured teams, Saskatoon, being part of two.

Unfortunately, this was the first game, and lessons weren't learned in Wild territory yet, but it was still another great display of hard-nosed hockey. The Kings didn't hesitate after the victory and went on to win another, fueled by their grind and grit shown during this game, swinging the pendulum in their favour against Mississauga, a better opponent than Saskatoon's following matchup.

Some interesting stats you may not have noticed during the game are: Mexico City's Hellebuyck stopped 32 of 33 shots for a.970 SV%, Saskatoon's Roulette III was not far behind with a.900, Saskatoon's Captain Nugget Jr. launched 11 chicken-packed shots at the net, absorbing two to help his goaltender, and two defenders, Carl Earhardt, Samsayz ISmell- played five more minutes than the rest of the Kings.

In the team stats department, it looks like it was an all-out first period, with nearly half of the total shots and no goals to show for it, turning the second half into slow and precise while making powerplays evaporate quicker than the snow after a game with extra minutes.

Mexico City wins 2-1
