Saskatoon Wild vs. Ottawa Lynx - Game 122

This closely fought contest was decided on the quality of the shots on goal versus the quantity, with the Lynx coming out on top of the contest with a score of 4-3.
Ottawa started off the scoring with Kevin Oconner scoring in the 1st period and then doubling their lead in the 2nd period before the Saskatoon offense was able to find the net. Captain Nugget Jr got the Wild on the scoreboard with Jerry Box leveling the game up 5 minutes later.

Trapstove Boutin scored his 4th goal of the season for Ottawa on a powerplay with 2:53 gone in the 3rd period. Jerry Brace got his 2nd goal of the contest for the Wild to level the game once again before the Lynx scored on another powerplay to secure the victory.

The Wild were much more active in front of the net, making 40 shots, but only scoring a total of 3 goals. This gave them a scoring percentage of 7.5%. The Lynx, on the other hand, took 27 shots on goal and scored a total of 4 goals. This gave them a scoring percentage of 14.8%, almost double that of the Wild.

When this contest is played again, it is very possible that the Wild will win, if all the stats remain the same…if they are able to match the scoring percentage of the Lynx.
