Velevra 312
Schwarzer Reacts to Sundin Jersey Retirement The Chicago Phoenix organization announced the first jersey retirement in franchise history. Scotty Sundin's number 15 will be immortalized in the rafters, marking a significant milestone for the team. Sundin's illustrious career began in S83 and throughout his career he consistently demonstrated his elite skill, recording 90+ points in four seasons and surpassing the 100-point mark in two of those years. Joshua Schwarzer was drafted to the Phoenix during Sundin’s final season and is now a member of the new leadership group of the Phoenix. He shared his thoughts on this momentous occasion in an interview. Joshua Schwarzer: It’s an incredible honor to see Scotty’s number retired. Scotty set the standard for what it means to be a Chicago Phoenix player. His dedication, skill, and leadership are qualities we all strive to emulate. He wasn't just a phenomenal player; he was the heart and soul of this team. For a new guy like me coming in, it’s a lesson that with hard work and dedication, we can leave a lasting impact too.
