der meister 3,238
This week's quick look is at Kevin O'Connor, left winger formerly of the Ottawa Lynx and current member of the Saskatoon Wild. Why are we looking at first gen user @Luke033's player? Well, the answer is simple: not a single player in the league has been a physical target more than O'Connor. The dubious distinction of leading the league in receiving body checks is one that deserves some examination. O'Conner has been on the receiving end of 164 hits in 32 games, which means that he's getting hit over 5 times every game. While with Ottawa, he was the team's leading scorer, but since being acquired by Saskatoon 4 games ago, he's yet to notch a single point. Ottawa, as a team, currently has the second-worst in the VHLM and even with O'Connor had almost non-existent depth, making him an easy target in games against powerhouses like Halifax and Miami. Add in his less than impressive physical strength, O'Connor was like a 6'1" child being manhandled in many of his tilts with the Lynx. Rounding out the top three in the "I'm covered in bruises" category is Jacob Longstreet, also of Saskatoon, who trails O'Connor by 11 smashes, and Charlie Klepacki of Philadelphia, just 2 ouchies behind Longstreet.
