Pan Daffleck's Biography

Pan Daffleck - an origin story.

 

Every superhero has an origin story, no matter how useless they are as heroes. Pan Daffleck is not really an exception here. He might be the shittiest superhero out there, he is just a red panda dressing up in roles played by Ben Affleck who he adores. Ever since he was a little red panda, he was living in the las vegas of asia: Macau.   So growing up in between huge casino’s and malls on the Cotai Strip, he always was aware of a flashy lifestyle. As you can imagine, he of course wasn’t allowed to join his parents to the casino’s, so he spent a lot of time watching movies in his room while his parents were gambling away another week's worth of food money, they weren't the most parental role models for young Pan. So he grew up watching movies and idolizing Ben Affleck, who Pan thought played an excellent father in Jersey Girl. The father that he wished he had himself. So while Daffleck isn’t his original name, it’s the name he adopted when he moved away from his family, so he moved on from being Pan Da, to Pan Daffleck, trying to not be found by his horrible parents anymore. That last part didn’t turn out to be hard, as they basically had forgotten they had a kid anyway as the vibrant nightlife of Macau was more important for them anyway. 

But having grown up on Affleck movies, Pan had to make a career choice in what he wanted to do. He knew his options, as he seen a lot of movies. So the first job he took was becoming a store manager for a ‘Fashionable Panda’ store in the Macau mall. Here he would try to pick up girls visiting the mall, and trying to hook up with them in an uncomfortable place. Yes, the back of a volkswagen. It turned out, they just found him an obnoxious red panda, and he knew this wasn’t the life for him. 

 

The next job he took on was drawing comics, he loved doing this job, but he was a horrible penciler, so all the stuff that he did draw, didn’t really sell. The fact that he also bitched at the inker doesn’t help improving the quality. He just keeps saying he basically traces the lines, annoying his inker who mentioned that he also adds depth, and shading and help the drawings truly take shape this way. But Pan just asked every person that they meet ‘hey if somebody draws something, and you draw right on top of it without going outside the original art, how do you call it’ , on which they always said ‘Tracing’ and then he pointed and laughed at his inker. So needless to say, this also was a job he couldn’t keep with his volatile personality.

 

The next job he took, was one that made him move to the United States, he was going to colorado to become a sheriff in the town of Snowfield. He knew this would be a tough job as he wanted to drive out an evil spirit there who almost wiped out the entire population. The spirit would posses a number of it victims, so he knew that he should be the person to save this town. But after arriving there, it turned out it was just a boring old town and nothing like he had seen before in the movie, nothing really happened, he needed more action in his life. 

 

So with Pan having had a number of jobs not working out, he started to wonder what would define him as a red panda, how could he stand out and be noticed, be larger as life. And then he saw something posted on a message board of the ‘Victory Hockey League’. A message from a mysterious creature coming from an unknown world and time, and from an unknown universe. He immediately thought back at the reason why he had moved to Snowfield, he wanted to defeat the evil there. And with this mysterious creature threatening to take over this victory hockey league, he knew what his next goal was in life. Stop this creature in their takeover of the VHL, whatever this was. So he actually read up further and found out it was actually a hockey league. He hadn’t skated before, how on earth would he succeed here? Looking around the league he saw there were other red panda’s playing this sport as well, so Pan said ‘If they can do it, so can I’, I will take this task upon me to learn how to play hockey and stop this Mad Villain in his attempts from taking over. Being a furry cute animal himself he know he has the endearing factor that he knows he can stop his plans by infiltrating as his friend, Mad Villain will never see it coming! (Hi @Tate ) 

 

So here it starts, the new chapter of Pan’s life. Trying to not fuck up this job like he did with his previous ones.

thanks for the inspiration, i hate writing biographies, but this gave me something to write towards
