Seattle's post season hopes end

Recommended Posts

The Seattle Bears hopes for back to back cups ended in game five today against the titan of a team Toronto Legion. Seattle at points was sitting at the top of the league during the Regular season but by the end would be passed by the Toronto Legion and London United, finishing with 111 and 108 points respectively. The Bears finished with 106 points and there were no doubts they could win the cup again after the unexpected win last season. The team after all was better it just seems that the Legion took a huge step forward and have a very real chance to win it this season. The Bears faced the Phoenix in the first round where they took a 3-1 series lead before stumbling a bit but were able to win game seven. In the second round it was the Toronto Legion they faced, a match up that pretty much destined to happen, Seattle kept it close in most game but the series only went to five, Legion won the first game 6-3 before Seattle took game two 5-2, from here the Legion didn't mess around, winning 5-4, 2-1, and 3-0 to win the series. Games three and four really are heart breakers as whole it could have took is one lucky bounce to win the game. The Bears face an interesting off-season as four of their players are retiring, meaning fans will be watching closely to see who replaces those lost players.
