der meister 3,187
Tick tock toward the Draft. Tick tock toward something to actually do, some interaction, some excitement. Leaving the VHLM, obviously there's a lot of work to do with regard to my player build. His Scoring, for example, is at a decent amount with 69, but things like Skating or Puck Handling, at 48 and 54, respectively, are far, far below where they should be. And I knew that as I was building for last season. Skating is an interesting one, however. The manual for the sim engine indicates that Skating determines if the player is more likely to hang onto the puck and try to create a play with their feet, as opposed to the logical interpretation that it means skating speed. That's not really what I'm after with Shevchenko; if anything, I want him to be a finisher, accepting a pass from a shifty playmaker and burying it. As I type this, I almost wonder if I delay putting points into Skating, just as an experiment. Something to consider, I suppose. Ultimately, I'll probably end up with the cookie cutter offensive winger build, which is usually when the fatigue sets in for any individual player. That's why I never wavered with my Sakamoto build, just to keep things interesting for myself. Honest question: has there been a successful scoring winger in the VHL with almost no points in Skating? If not, maybe Shevchenko is the first. Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/149826-tick-tock/ Share on other sites
