Who will snatch the big Greenlander?

While the final result of the Junior Showcase Tournament is yet to be decided, the VHLM scouts have already wrapped up their reports and are on the way to the VHLM dispersal draft, set to start in just a few hours. A few high-end prospects are not going to be present because of the aforementioned tournament as well as the World Junior Championship. But they surely will be watching online and ready to receive a call from their new boss.

 

Among the prospects unable to attend is Alagsantere Grønvold, a shutdown defenseman projected to go as high as mid-first round. He's too busy at the moment locking down the blue line of JST's best defensive team, who's currently up 2-0 in the final round.

 

"I try not to think about the draft too much; there's hockey to be played right here, right now," said Grønvold. "Sure, I've gone through a few interviews, but right now, I have no hunch where I might end up. Dad would love me to play for the Aces, who knows. But I believe I can be an asset to any team. Regardless of where I play, I'm going to bring my A game."

 

In a draft this deep in high-end defensive talent, it's definitely going to be interesting to see where the towering Greenlander ends up.
