ROOKIE745 604
Earlier this off season the Seattle Bears traded one of their best players to the New York Americans, the trade came somewhat of a shock to Toby Kadachi as he off visiting his home in Russia. We had a chance to have a call with him and talk about the sudden change in location he'd be playing in "I'm still a little miffed at the moment, I kind of knew that changes would be coming but I just didn't think I'd be the one heading out. I also just didn't think it'd come so soon in this off season, but I respect general manger Bana for doing what he needs to to keep the team a contender. The team needed a center and I was the guy the other team wanted." Kadachi has been back in North America for two weeks now, he sold his house in Seattle and has found an apartment in New York to live in for the time being. As for why he didn't go for another house we asked him about that "I need some time to figure out if New York will be a long term home for me or short term, I haven't had much time to talk with my teammates I've been so busy with the move. I have talked to the general manger quite a bit, I wanted to understand why role they saw me feeling for this team, where I fit in to it all." Kadachi currently has two seasons left on his contract, he'll be a free agent after season 96 barring if he signs an extension. "To go from one side of the USA to other is something, I've grown very comfortable to the west coast and now I'll be on the East coast. New York is huge and I image it take some getting used to with all the traffic and sheer number of people that live there." That was Kadachi's response when asked about the total shift to the other side of America. Kadachi was a little late to training camp but has quickly found his place in the lineup, he should be one of the Americans top players this upcoming season, the season is only a few days away from starting and no doubt they will be looking towards Kadachi to be one of the leaders on the team. Kadachi himself wants to take that next step forward in his career, wanting to over a point per game and score 30 plus goals. "I believe I'm more than capable of it, and I want to prove it" The Russian left winger had 28 goals and 37 assists last season for 65 points, this was a good jump up from the previous two season where he had 42 and 43 points respectively. He'll also be adding to the toughness of the team along with Yannick Jenser, both players have over 160 penalty minutes last season, and both had 240 plus hits. They will be putting the hurt on the enemy team.
