RomanesEuntDomus 442
Caprivi Says Goodbye To Bratislava After his second Founder's Cup in as many seasons, Nicolas Caprivi said goodbye to the VHLM and his Bratislava Watchmen this off-season to finally start his VHL-career with the Cologne Express. The German-Canadian defenseman didn't enter the draft and instead used a loophole in the CBA that allowed him to go to a team of his choosing and his choice ended up being a team that is actually pretty close to Bratislava. "That's certainly a nice coincidence and I'm already looking forward to visiting Bratislava again in the future, but it didn't play a huge role in my decision", Caprivi explained, but he had some nice words for his former team as well: "I had a great time in Bratislava, not just because I won another cup there but because it is just a great organisation from top to bottom. From our GM to our superstars and the depth-players, everyone did an amazing job this season and i was very fortunate to have been a part of this experience. I'm already looking forward to seeing some of these guys again in the VHL." According to media reports Caprivi was also present at the recent VHLM Dispersal Draft, where he was rumored to have been involved in the scouting and selection process, so even if he is not a player for the Watchmen anymore, it seems like his presence could still be felt this season.
