dstevensonjr 395
There are currently 63 players in the VHL that are shooting 8.0% or better, which should average out to almost four players per team. Now, that gets skewed between forwards and defenders a little bit, so it's not quite as simple as just saying that every team should have four of them, but for the purposes of this article it will be simplified to avoid having to write too much. The Toronto Legion have two skaters sitting above the 8.0% mark (Jimi Jaks at 16.33% and Kyle Toms at 14.29%), and then there is a steep drop off to the rest of the roster. The next highest percentage on the team is Harry Callahan at 7.79% on 77 shots (t-5th in VHL), followed by defender Gul Dukat at 7.69% and forward Diego Machado at 7.5%. Here is a comparison for the skaters from last season to this season who played in the VHL: Jimi Jaks: 10.10% to 16.33% (+5.20%) Kyle Toms: 9.04% to 14.29% (+5.25%) Harry Callahan: 6.15% to 7.79% (+1.84%) Gul Dukat: 4.72% to 7.69% (+2.97%) Diego Machado: 10.16% to 7.50% (-2.66%) Mac Atlas: 9.34% to 5.45% (-3.89%) Walter Fitzroy Jr.: 8.05% to 0.00% (-8.05%) Bobby Bob: 8.60% to 0.00% (-8.60%) That's three of the top four scorers for Toronto from last season experiencing significant drops in shooting percentage without enough significant increases elsewhere to balance it out. The team shots stats from last season have seen a dip, as the Legion averaged 45.76 shots for per game last season (36.78 so far this season) and 31.10 shots against per game last season (33.22 so far this season). Those stats will also need to bounce back to get the Legion where they need to go. v.2 1 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/150748-legion-in-need-of-shooting-luck/ Share on other sites
